"Inconsistent Cleaning but Friendly Staff"
The staff at this assisted living facility is really nice and helpful. They handle maintenance requests quickly, and the office staff are also very supportive. The dining staff are attentive and make sure residents are happy with their meals. Speaking of meals, there are some good choices, but it's hard to find options that are low in sodium or sugar. Overall, the food tastes good.

"Friendly Community with Varied Activities"
She thinks the food isn't always hot or very good, but not every day. There are lots of activities, but she doesn't join many. She likes making new friends and meeting new people. She's volunteering in the gift shop and having a good time.

"Perfect Fit for Our Loved One with Lots of Fun Activities"
Foxwood Springs is a great place for our loved one. The size of her apartment is perfect, and she’s adjusting really well. She’s started getting into lots of new activities, and there’s always something fun to do during the day.

"Staff Engagement Could Improve Otherwise Positive Experience"
Our family member has been at the facility for a few months. We haven't noticed any problems so far. They offer lots of activities for residents, but our loved one hasn't joined in. We hope the staff would make more effort to involve her without any extra attention.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living with Varied Amenities and Activities"
The community is really clean inside and out, and the staff members are super friendly. We enjoy the food, they offer us lots of choices, and we can pick small or big portions. The activities are picking up again, which is great. This community is down-to-earth and feels like family-oriented.

"High entry fees deter potential residents; disappointing communication from Foxwood."
After we got an email from Foxwood saying that we have to pay a lot of money upfront just to live there, we knew we couldn't go there.

"Convenient and Comfortable Assisted Living in Raymore, Missouri"
Located in quiet Raymore, Missouri, this assisted living facility is a bit of a drive from Kansas City, at least 45 minutes away. They do arrange trips to KC for cultural events, although it’s not clear how often. The garden homes are really nice with attached garages and an open floor plan, plus they're close to the community center. There’s also an indoor pool, which is a nice feature. The pricing is on the higher side since it operates on a buy-in plan. However, it’s an "age in place" facility, meaning it offers a variety of health services on site, like memory care, rehabilitation, and nursing home care. This makes it easier for families since they won’t have to rush into deciding whether to move Mom based on her age or health changes. It’s definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a place where your loved one can age comfortably.

"Inadequate Care and Retaliation at Assisted Living Facility"
If you're looking for a flashy place with lots of activities, this assisted living facility might seem appealing. They have everything from parties to a pool, even their own chefs that contribute to an overall impressive ambiance. However, be aware that you will likely need to spend a great deal of time there with your loved one, practically day and night. This facility does not properly inform their patients or residents about the timings of their physical or occupational therapy sessions. They stack these sessions back-to-back without considering the residents' personal schedules or their capacity to handle such intensity. Many residents don't speak up about these issues, perhaps unaware of their right to adequate rest periods between therapies. When I voiced concerns about neglect to their ombudsman, the facility retaliated against my husband in an alarming manner. They are attempting to discharge him early. Unless you can commit to being there for your loved one full time and you're comfortable advocating for their rights, I would recommend considering a different facility. I've had to spend the last three days preparing a Medicare appeal for my husband.

"Outdated Facility; Chose Elsewhere for Wife's Care"
We knew someone at Foxwood Springs, so we checked it out. But, honestly, it seemed really old-fashioned. We decided to pick a different place for my wife because I didn't think Foxwood was right for her.

"Warning: Foxwood Springs' Retention Policy and Subpar Care Quality"
My folks signed a contract with Foxwood Springs, keeping $100,000 even after they pass or move. It's something folks should know about. I didn't want my parents there because Mom got poor care. She even broke her arm there, and the rooms were dirty. The $100,000 seems like a way to pressure people to stay, as it can cover extra costs in assisted living.

"Facility Lacked Amenities and Health Support"
I visited this place, and it seemed nice. But they couldn't take care of my husband's health needs, and they didn't have all the amenities he wanted.

"Mixed Feelings About Mom's Assisted Living Experience"
My mom moved to this place and mostly I'm okay with it. I think they should have more things for residents to do. The food is good, she likes it. The place is clean, but it needs a lot of updates. The people who take care of her are good. The bosses need to understand what the residents need and spend money to make things better. Overall, it's been pretty nice and I would tell others to check it out.

"Spacious Assisted Living with Helpful Staff and Lots of Activities"
This community seemed really nice, but it was larger than what my mom would have felt comfortable in. The staff was very helpful and caring. The place was very clean. We noticed a lot of activity there at the time. Families who like big communities might enjoy this one.
