Harvester Residential Care

"Poor Care and Rude Owner"
My family member left Harvester Residential Care because we were unhappy with the care. Despite paying all of their social security income, they didn't receive proper attention. Meals were insufficient, mental health support and physical therapy requests went unanswered, and the owner was rude. The facilities were poorly furnished. I wouldn't recommend Harvester Residential Care.

"Limited Assistance and Safety Concerns at Assisted Living Facility"
I would tell a friend that their loved one needs to be completely independent to live here since only minimal help is offered. Honestly, I can't think of anything they do well. I've had many issues with the cable and internet, and they just ignore the problem. The services for showers and laundry are VERY minimal, and I don't think they are worth what my mother is paying. I've had to take ALL the trash out of my mother's room since she moved in back in [date removed]. They don't offer to help her with anything. I asked them to help with her eye drops after cataract surgery, and they refused. I'm really at my wits' end with this place, but it's conveniently located so I can check on my mother frequently. It's also very hard for her to get in and out of the place, and the driveway is extremely narrow with a drop-off. I already broke my foot on it, but I'm more worried about my mother and the other ladies - it's a safety hazard.

"Better for Independence"
The place is clean and nice, but the assisted living side wasn’t right for my dad. He prefers more independence, so the house with individual rooms suits him better.

"Mixed Experience at Harvester Residential Assisted Living"
Harvester Residential is cheap, but we faced some problems. The staff is nice, and my mom likes the community. However, there were problems with her medicines sometimes. Also, the place could be cleaner.

"A Unique Assisted Living Experience"
Wow, this place is different! I didn't even know assisted living could be like this. It's mostly a big house where people with memory issues stay, and they also own smaller homes on the street for four people each. The representative, , was super nice and helpful. But the main office in the basement? Yikes! It was messy and disorganized. Some parts of the facility needed regular care. Not our cup of tea, but maybe it's right for others.

"Family Member Evicted by Unsympathetic Harvester House"
I strongly advise against using this facility. A member of my family lived there briefly. Despite struggling for years to find suitable care for him, he was doing alright here, living amicably with his roommates. But then, the actions of Harvester House upset us. They decided they no longer wanted to assist him and made him leave. They didn't provide any alternative options for him to find help elsewhere. It's clear to us that they don't want to help those in need and seem indifferent towards their residents. Don’t choose a facility where they lack compassion for people. In particular, avoid Harvester House.

"Gross Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
Ew. We stopped by and this place is filthy and reeks. We barely made it past the entrance. It's a mess.

"Mixed feelings about assisted living facility; owner's sincerity appreciated."
I think it's a nice place and good for residents overall. The food isn't as great as they claim, but they do deliver as promised. The owner seems sincere and does her best.

"Family-Owned, Affordable, and Clean with Happy Residents"
I've visited this place several times, and it's clear it's family-owned. The residents always look happy, and there are lots of activities for them. It's the most affordable option I've found around here. The food smells good, and the place seems clean. The neighborhood vibe is very noticeable.

"Unattended and Unsecure, Avoid This Assisted Living Facility"
My mother-in-law stayed here for only two months. The rooms were cramped and outdated. She often felt disrespected. Some of her belongings vanished. The food was unappetizing. The larger home seemed to be staffed only by two inexperienced girls. It was the residents, not the staff, I saw doing housekeeping tasks and answering calls. When it came time to collect some of my mother-in-law's items, we were able to walk in unchallenged, go straight to her room, collect her belongings, and leave without interacting with any employee. It was alarming how easy it was to gain access, and concerning that residents could just as easily leave unattended. I would advise against this place.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Not Quite Right for Mom-in-law"
This place wasn't terrible, just not right for my mother-in-law. She prefers her own space at home. Unfortunately, most rooms were full, so we couldn't see one. Plus, she can't manage stairs. We hoped for a better fit elsewhere. Also, the place felt dim.
