Provision Living at Columbia

"Caring Assisted Living with a Minor Issue"
Cedarhurst of Columbia has been great. They seamlessly fit into my husband’s life, and he feels like he works for CedarHurst. The care they provide to residents is good. However, some items left at the front desk on the second day disappeared.

"Decent Assisted Living with Some Issues"
This place is pretty clean, but it falls short on apartment cleaning. We were there for 2 months, and housekeeping only cleaned once, even though it was supposed to be weekly. The staff is mostly friendly, but some aren't. It's severely understaffed, and call lights go unanswered for hours. Good food options, but bring your own seasoning. Overall, it's decent for independent people.

"Loved One's Bad Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I don't think this place is good for loved ones. The old staff left, and I never got to try the new staff. The memory care area wasn't taken care of, and my family member fell without help. The staff didn't encourage eating in the dining room. The Executive Director tried to fix things, but it was too late for us. Our loved one won't go back because of their bad experience.

"Friendly staff, thorough family meetings, some appointment challenges."
All the staff here are really nice. The bosses meet with our family about a month after we move in to talk about everything and make sure we all understand the care. One thing that bothers me is we haven't been able to schedule some important doctor visits for my loved one - but that's not their fault. I would definitely tell others to consider Cedarhurst of Columbia.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
This place is okay, but not super exciting. When you talk to the staff, they're nice and helpful, but I'm not sure if everything gets to the floor staff. They're friendly and mostly don't cause any problems. The food is fine, but not very exciting. In the memory care unit, they mostly just lock the doors to keep people from wandering. The activities seem limited, and they're not very impressive. The staff are friendly, but not top-notch. The building looks nice and is kept clean. Overall, it's okay, but not amazing.

"Memory Care Unit Falls Short During Tour"
At first, I was really impressed during the tour. But when we reached the memory care unit, things changed. The residents were all crowded together, and there was no staff around. The lady giving the tour seemed shocked and had to stop to help the residents. That influenced our decision.

"Assisted Living Review: Laundry & Pet Access Challenges"
My relative found it tough to use shared laundry. Pets, allowed, but difficult access outside.

"A Great Place for Fun and Friendly Care!"
It’s been pretty good here. No big complaints. The food is tasty, and people are friendly. The place is mostly clean, except for a few spots on the rug. They keep everything painted and well-maintained. If you need help with anything, they send someone right away. The activities director is always energetic, planning things 5-6 days a week. They go fishing and take trips to the mall. Plus, there are lots of games, live music a couple of times a month, and a fun mix of activities. Today, we’re going bowling. Overall, I’d recommend it.

"Large rooms, helpful staff, weekday quality; weekend understaffed. Recommend for care."
We chose Cedarhurst of Columbia because the first person I talked to was really helpful. It made me feel better about putting my mom here. The rooms are big and spacious. The only problem is weekends seem a bit short on staff. But weekdays are great. I'd suggest it to others looking for a place.

"Assisted Living Disappointment"
My relative was in a place before that couldn't help her. Cedarhurst said they could handle it. They watched her on Facetime while she was in the hospital and said they could handle it. But I feel tricked. It was okay in the beginning, but she fell multiple times and kept ending up in the hospital. The doctors worried about how much she was hurt. When I told Cedarhurst we wouldn't be returning, they just said, "Okay, bye." When she fell, they didn't make a plan to stop it from happening again. They just called me to tell me about it. I was hopeful—it was a nice place. But I felt like the person who talked to me was more like a salesperson than someone who helps. They said they had a 60-day guarantee, but my relative was there for less time than that, and they didn't respond when I asked for my money back.

"Cedarhurst Assisted Living Review"
They really care and are good at what they do. Our main issue was communication - we couldn't reach them. COVID made it worse. They were short-staffed due to extra responsibilities. They did a great job getting our loved one into coloring by number, which was a surprise. It kept him busy and he liked it. Overall, Cedarhurst is very nice; we would recommend it.

"Great place, but phone connections could be improved"
Overall, we had a good experience at Cedarhurst of Columbia. One thing that worried me was how sometimes it’s hard to reach them by phone and talk to the right person quickly. But I would definitely recommend them to anyone who’s looking.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Visit"
The memory care unit on the first floor was full, and the second floor wouldn't have suited us. The people we met during our tour were friendly. The place seemed clean. My sister enjoyed it.
