My family member stayed at Sunrise for a little while. It was pretty okay for the most part. But, I noticed the workers spent a lot of time on their cell phones. They didn’t change her bed sheets very often, and I’m not sure what else they might have missed. They looked like they had enough free time since they were just sitting there.

My family member lives at Sunrise of Des Peres, and it's been okay overall. The managers are friendly, but sometimes the care staff is slow to respond. The food service is decent and accommodates dietary needs. Housekeeping is fair, and the medical technicians are excellent.

I haven't been to other places, but some staff are caring. Others don't seem to care. Cleaning isn't always regular, and moving in help was absent. Family communication is okay. Meals are good but repeat often. I'd suggest this place because they try their best with what they've got.

""Understaffing and Negligence: Poor Elderly Care at this Facility""
Residents left to manage themselves at this understaffed facility. They constantly misplace their clothes because no one helps them with laundry, and sometimes, dirty clothes are even left in the shower. When they ask for help, it takes forever for someone to show up, if at all. What’s worse, the staff tries to hide problems by lying about stuff that goes down, thinking our elders won’t remember or matter. This place is laughable and honestly, should be closed for not taking proper care of people.

"Overpriced Assisted Living Facility with Poor Communication and Services"
The price they told us was $3,011.00. Although my grandma's place might be nearer to 270 and easier to visit, the one-way traffic pattern is pretty inconvenient. With extra costs, we end up almost spending nearly $5,000 a month. We visited the facility on Saturday and they assured us that they will call back on Monday. But today is Wednesday and we have yet to get any call. This is very worrying and concerning.

I strongly suggest you don't send your family members here. They've deceived us and let our cherished family member go hungry to the point of death. They repeatedly put the blame on the illness. We believe the facility lied to us. Please, monitor your family members by visiting frequently.
