"Assisted Living Disappoints; Promised Care Falls Short, Communication Lacks"
My parent lived at Fairmont for two years. Recently, management kept urging me to shift my parent from level 3 care to memory care. I suspected this was more for the staff than my parent. After over two weeks in memory care, promised attention hasn't improved, maybe even worsened. I've been repeatedly told caregivers avoid checking on residents when family visits, which doesn't make sense. They should help me understand the care we're paying for, not dodge me. It hurts that this is the best they can do, but sadly, skilled nursing is worse.

"Varied Experience in Assisted Living Facility with Caring Staff"
We can't rate the activities because can't participate. Cleanliness varies; some days 's room isn't swept. Staff are friendly and caring to both me and , always interacting positively. Meals offer good variety, quantity, and flavor. Although couldn't join activities, the director and tours influenced our choice.

"Plenty of Activities, Mixed Food Experience"
The food is decent, but sometimes they don't serve what's listed on the menu. On the bright side, they organize lots of fun activities and outings for the residents.

"Poor Staff Training and Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
I wouldn't suggest putting your relative in this place. The employees don't seem well-trained. The helpers act like they don't care about the folks living there. It seems like the helpers only think about themselves. The way the staff interact with the families is really bad. The head person, the Executive Director, didn't even listen to me when my family tried to talk to them. They said there was a time when I said something, but I didn't. I had to bring that up.

"Assisted Living Review Summary"
We really like Sunrise on Clayton. It's homey and beautiful. The memory care floor is impressively clean and feels welcoming, with cozy living rooms and a patio. Staff, especially management, are friendly. The activities director organizes engaging events and outings, like holiday light tours and zoo visits. Services include on-site beauty appointments, transportation to doctor visits, and even dog walking.

"Assisted Living Facility Feels Corporate, Lacks Individuality"
The community was nice but felt too corporate, like a hotel, lacking individuality.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The assisted living facility is very close to my home, and the staff is friendly. It's easy to visit my mom there. However, they are a bit short-staffed, which makes it challenging for my mom, especially since she has difficulty communicating and isn't proactive about needing to use the restroom. Unfortunately, due to the staffing shortage, she isn't offered restroom breaks every 4 hours.

"Lack of Personalized Care and Odor Issues"
I didn't like that the director didn't know residents' names as we passed them in the hallway. She seemed unaware of who they were. Additionally, there was a slight odor in the facility."

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"
I think this place isn’t very welcoming. The meals are great and there’s a lot to choose from. I’d say it’s an okay place to stay, but I have some doubts.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Good Staff, Security, Food, Communication Challenges"
The staff was really nice and the building's security is strong. There's a pleasant outdoor area for my dad to walk. The food is great, with two snacks daily. Communication could improve, but they care well for residents. They've introduced a new app for better communication. I would recommend this community.

"Friendly caregivers, clean but expensive facility"
We picked Sunrise because the staff was good with the residents and the place was very clean. Her room is a good size. She thinks the food is okay. The best part is the caregivers—they're friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it based on the care needed. It's pretty expensive and doesn't take insurance.
