"Insufficient Staffing Affects Mealtime Support for Memory Care Residents"
The staff is really nice. They could use more help, especially during meals. People in memory care seem to benefit from being around others without memory issues for better example-setting. My mother-in-law requires more assistance and time during meals, but that's not always possible.

"Friendly Atmosphere and Homelike Feel at The Parkway Senior Living"
Our first impression of The Parkway Senior Living was how nice and friendly everyone was, both the staff and the other people who live there. It feels cozy and comfortable, almost like being at home. From what we've experienced so far, we would definitely tell other families that this is a good place to consider.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
The staff at this place needs more help because they have too many residents. The staff who are there are mostly friendly. The food isn't good and needs to be better. They said they would clean the apartment once a week, but they don't do it as much as they said they would. When they do clean, the bathroom and the rest of the apartment are never really clean.

"Great tour but pricey and feels too sales-focused"
We had a really good tour. However, it felt a bit like a sales pitch, so the staff wasn't very friendly. The place is really nice, but it's also pricier.

"Memory Care Excels; Assisted Living Needs Improvement"
I believe the memory care staff are more organized compared to the assisted living. It's important to visit frequently to enhance the family experience. It's not flawless, but it's of good quality.

"Pleasant Visit with Great Lunch"
We visited this community, and it was pleasant. While there wasn't much interaction with the residents, the lunch they served was excellent.

"Mixed Experience with Care and Activities at Assisted Living Facility"
The caregivers who worked during weekdays were more helpful than those on weekends or at night. For overnight care, we had to hire a personal caregiver due to medical needs. The housekeeping and kitchen staff did a better job compared to the caregivers on weekends and in the evenings. The chefs prepared good food that we enjoyed. The activities for residents in the memory care unit weren't as enjoyable as those in other parts of the community. They recently hired a new activities director who is trying to improve activities for memory care residents.

"Disappointing Exclusions in Otherwise Pleasant Memory Care Facility"
The memory care facility has nice infrastructure with wide halls that are clean and well organized. There's a pleasant outdoor area, and the rooms, though smaller private studios, include utilities, cable, and internet. Each room also has a private bathroom with a shower seat and multiple grab bars for safety. During my visit, all the residents I saw in the dining area appeared to have good hygiene habits. However, I was disappointed to learn that not all services are included in the monthly fee. Specifically, bathing and dressing services are not covered, which was unexpected. Additionally, there's no Medicare spin-down option available.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Staffing and Medication Management"
Parkway senior living has some good points: their food is decent, and they do try to keep the place clean. But lately, the negatives are outweighing the positives. They don't have enough staff, especially during nights and weekends. Also, they don't provide their staff with the right tools for laundry like stain removers or dryer sheets to get rid of static. Another issue is how they handle medication. Instead of following the doctor's orders, they give out medicine when it's convenient for them. For instance, a medication like protonics should be taken 30 minutes to an hour before eating, but they just hand it out with all the other pills during meals because it's easier for the staff. The biggest problem, though, is the lack of staff to care for the patients, especially those in memory care, during nights and weekends. There have been times this week when only one person was responsible for 27 people at night. Often, there are only two staff members available.

"Good tour, small rooms, far from family. Considering The Parkway."
The staff gave us a really informative tour. The studio for long-term care seemed a bit small. Also, Blue Springs is quite far from my family. I'll definitely think about choosing The Parkway.

"Assisted Living Review: Small Spaces, Limited Views, Average Facilities"
Assisted living place is like a square box. The common area is small, and there are tiny visiting spots around it. Rooms are similar in size to those in Brighton, but sadly, there's no view from them.

"Mixed Bag: Parkway Senior Living Review"
Parkway senior living has some good and not-so-good points. On the plus side, the food is tasty, and the place stays clean. They usually have enough staff around to help out, and most of them really seem to care about the residents. However, there are downsides too. They've messed up laundry, ruining some clothes. Also, during nights, weekends, and holidays, they sometimes don't have enough caretakers available. It can be hard to find someone when you need help, and communication between staff shifts and with administrators isn't always great.

"Not Very Active"
While exploring different options for my mom, we visited this place. The apartments seemed a bit smaller than what we’d prefer. We also noticed that people weren’t really participating in anything. The staff offered activities like card games and pool, but no one seemed to join. The dining room was pretty empty too. Even during open eating hours, there weren’t many people to chat with. My mom wants to socialize, but it’s not very active here.

"Communication Gap in Long-Distance Situations"
The communication at this assisted living facility is not very good for families like mine who live far away. It's hard to stay updated on my loved one's well-being and activities. They need to improve how they keep in touch with families who can't visit often.

I recently visited this community for my loved one, and everything went well. The staff showed us around, answered our questions, and made sure we understood everything. The property was clean and had great amenities for residents. In the end, it just wasn’t the right fit.

"Friendly Staff, Good Amenities, No Smoking: Overall Satisfied Experience"
I really liked the tour I had at this place. They had lots of cool stuff to use, and it was smaller than other places I checked out. The people who run it were really nice and helped me and my mom figure out the money part. The only thing my mom didn't like was that nobody could smoke there.

"Mom's Place Review: Friendly Staff, Nice Community, Good Layout"
We went on a tour and the staff was really nice and knew a lot about the place. The community seemed nice too. We saw some residents doing activities, which was cool. But we felt it was too far away to have mom stay there. Still, we liked how the rooms were arranged.

My mom loves living here, and I'm happy we chose it. The place is super clean, smells nice, and her room is always tidy. The caregivers are fantastic and take great care of her. She even got a facial once, and there are fun activities. The food is delicious! But sometimes they're slow with billing and info.

"Staff Unfamiliar with Long-Term Care"
The Parkway Senior Living is a new place. We've had some issues with bills, but we like the people here. The staff hasn't worked with long-term care before. I don't think they know much about insurance. My mom is the first one with long-term care here. I hope they learn more about her benefits and insurance policies. Overall, I'm happy with this facility.

"Staff troubles, hopeful for improvement."
At The Parkway Senior Living, my relative is having problems with the staff. We moved him in before they were fully prepared to open. I believe many of the issues stem from that. Maybe next year, my review will be completely different.
