"Memory Care Unit Struggles with Staffing and Communication"
Don't put your loved one in a memory care unit. They don't help with daily tasks as they should, struggle to communicate with people with dementia, and have too few staff members leading to high turnover.

"Inconsistent Staff but Some Helpful Workers"
The people who run the place are nice and helpful. A couple of the helpers are really good, but there's a problem because the staff keeps changing, especially on the memory floor.

"Poorly managed facility with subpar care and undelivered promises."
The Grande may seem pleasant from the outside, but the inside is nothing short of a nightmare. They are constantly under-staffed, which worsens due to their sluggish workers. For anyone seeking memory care for their loved ones, this definitely isn't the right place. They'll lure you with false promises and special services that they never provide. In reality, residents are left in soiled diapers, not bathed regularly, made to wear the same clothing for days and are left unattended in dirty beds. Cleaning is often neglected, leaving rooms filthy for days at a time. I've seen feces in my relative's room and the shared bathroom multiple times. And their 'activities', which they brag about, are extremely limited and frankly, laughable. They barely spend any time interacting with the residents, who are left aimlessly wandering. Residents of the memory care section never get outdoor time, and haven't been on a single field trip in the past two years. The staff is often nowhere to be seen. The food is mediocre and the management, particularly the head, is the worst.

"Nice Place, But Services Didn’t Meet Expectations"
The place is pretty good overall. But, there’s been some trouble with how they give out medicine. They’ve stopped giving rides for getting things like groceries or going on trips, which isn’t what they said when we picked this place. We really liked where it was and the pretty sights. They told us we’d get help with laundry, cleaning, and rides, but that wasn’t all the way true.

"Stay Away From The Grande at Laumeier Park"
The time my family member stayed at The Grande at Laumeier Park was really bad. The place wasn't clean, the food was bad, and people there weren't nice. The care they offered, the people working there, the things they had to do, and what we had to pay was all bad. I wouldn't tell anyone to send someone they care for to The Grande at Laumeier Park. This was not a good time for our family or the person we care for.

"Explore other options: This place only cares about money!"
The memory care unit here is terrible. If the residents are even a bit difficult, they just send them to SLU for an assessment or medication. Even though my family member was only in the facility for about 10 days within two months, we were billed for the full time. To make things worse, they insisted that we hire a 24/7 caregiver to stay with her once she returned. I even saw posts on Facebook from others who were still being charged up to two months after their family members had passed away. I really suggest you consider other places. All they care about is their profit.

"Wonderful place with friendly staff and great meals!"
I really love this place! The staff is amazing and super friendly. We’re still figuring out a few things, like the wristband system, which is a bit tricky for the residents. The meals are great too! They look like they’re from a restaurant, and residents can get seconds if they want. There are lots of activities to join in on. Overall, we’re very happy!

"A Welcoming Community"
The staff is nice, caring, and pays attention. They’re working on activities, and the community looks great. The food is good too. I’d recommend it.
