"Friendly staff, clean, lacks nurses and aides."

Community tour: Staff friendly, clean, newer building, lacking nurses and aides.

"Visited Facility: Clean, But Lacking in Medical Staff Presence"

I checked out this place. The employees were friendly and always willing to help. They answered everything I asked. The place was very tidy and it smelled clean. You could tell the building was pretty new. I didn't see any nurses, even where they usually hang out. I didn't spot any helpers either; it kind of seemed empty.

"Nice Staff but Lacks Needed Assistance, Worth Checking Out"

We visited the place. The workers were great but we were told they don't provide the help we need. The place was clean. We suggest other families check it out to see if it's what they want for their family members.

"Decent Facility, Unkind Receptionist, and Neglect Concerns"

Pretty Facility has Issues that Need Addressing. Thoroughly impressed by the facility's aesthetics, I visited there recently with a friend whose mother resides there, given that I'm presently scouting locations for my own mother. However, I noticed some worrisome signs during my visit - like, a lady cried alone in her wheelchair next to a wall. Additionally, some of my friends have relayed unsettling stories they've heard from their parent's experiences here, or from friends who know employees at the facility. During my second visit, the receptionist was quite impolite when I needed directions to the dining room, which I had never been to before. She barely looked up from her screen and just waved dismissively towards the room. Other friends have had similar unpleasant experiences with her. An isolated rude employee doesn't denote a general attitude, but her rudeness was especially stinging. Whilst I'm impressed by the cleanliness of the facility, the numerous activities for residents, and the variety in food options at a fair price - which I truly appreciate, it's important that the care neglect issues and the receptionist's rudeness are addressed.

"Concerns Over Staff Attitude and Care"

The look and feel of this place is really amazing, but the lady at the front desk is very unfriendly. She didn't even lift her head from her desk and when I asked to meet the main nurse, she just pointed vaguely without providing clear directions and I ended up lost. I've also heard from friends about cases where some folks living there have not been taken care of properly. Once, I came in and saw some people in wheelchairs left alone in common spaces, crying. It's really heartbreaking, given how great the place looks. I hope they'll make improvements because I would like to bring my mom here.

"Affordable but lacking bathrooms."

This was the cheapest option, but we wanted two bathrooms. Amenities good, people friendly.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs More Memory Care Activities"

Twin Oaks Heritage Pointe's memory care unit is small. They offer many activities for assisted living, but not much for memory care residents. During my mom's brief stay, I mostly saw memory care residents watching TV or doing puzzles. It would've been better if staff included them in some assisted living activities.

"New but missing elements: Late Villas, Early Dinner, Less Greenery"

It's pretty and totally new. The Villas are still closed but will open in a month or two. I don't think it's a licensed nursing home, so long-term care insurance might not work. Plus, there aren't a lot of trees. Some people might miss the greenery. Also, they serve dinner at 5, which seems a bit early.

"Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, residents…"

The assisted living facility was comfortable, clean, and had friendly staff. The residents were busy, and it was well designed for memory care.

"This was our first choice. However, Mom needs more care."

This was our top pick, but Mom needs more care.
