"Clean Facility with Nice Staff, More Activities Needed for Memory Care"
**Review:** So far, The Dogwood Corinth community is really clean, and the staff is nice. They might want to add more activities for the residents in memory care. **Headline:**

"Long halls at Dogwood, but friendly and clean."
The Dogwood was nice. People were friendly, and the place was clean. The halls were quite long, though, especially from the new wing to the dining room.

"Positive atmosphere, clean, with the right care options"
The staff and seniors are really positive. They offer both Assisted Living and Memory Care, which is exactly what we needed. The place is clean.

"Great Community"
My parents were here, and although Dad passed away soon after they moved in, Mom is now settling into her new routine. The staff is caring, encouraging Mom to participate in activities and make friends. The three daily meals are really good, and her one-bedroom apartment is well-maintained. They even have a lovely porch with rocking chairs. I recommend this community.

"Inadequate Care and Lack of Refund at Memory Care Unit"
My dad was at Dogwood's assisted living facility for about 9 days in August, which turned out to be a bad experience. He suffered from progressed Alzheimer’s disease, so we decided to move him here, as they boasted a memory care unit. However, the manager let me down by sharing, after the payment, that their employees were not adequately trained to care for Alzheimer's patients. In the end, it was mostly hospice staff who took care of him. They bathed him every other day but as for the general cleanliness of the place - it was hit or miss. The Dogwood staff members were polite enough. The one issue that stood out was their lack of communication, especially during shift changes. They seemed clueless when we called to inquire about my dad's day. It felt as if they were avoiding my dad due to his needs that were greater than they'd anticipated. Some of the meals were odd as well, such as cut watermelon, mandarin orange slices, cottage cheese and crackers, or just a stale pimento cheese sandwich. After barely a week, they suggested moving my dad elsewhere as they admitted they couldn’t provide adequate support. However, they still billed us for the next month. My dad passed away before we could move him back, but they refuse to refund the money for the unused room. The owner avoids communicating via phone or email, and declined my request to meet in person, citing his lawyer's advice. I've been forced to seek external help regarding this situation. I would strongly advise against this place.
