"Mixed feelings about Dad's assisted living experience"

This place is really clean and well-organized. Dad enjoys the food, but there's not much variety. The staff is always friendly and helpful when I call. However, we're concerned because Dad should have run out of his medication by now, but we haven't been billed for it yet. I've been waiting for a call back for a while. Also, there's a urine smell coming from Dad's room. Despite these issues, I would recommend this facility to other families.

"Friendly staff, clean place, good for combined rooms."

I visited here, and the staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions. Mom and Dad were going to stay here, and they would have combined two rooms for them. The community was larger and very clean.

"Residents Unhappy with Early Meals and Lack of Activities"

Breakfast is served too early here, between 6:00 and 6:30 AM, and dinner is at 3:30 PM. The residents often complain because they get hungry long before bedtime and have to wait from 6:30 AM until noon to eat again. The only activity offered is Bingo, which only happens about three times a week. They used to organize outings and offer more activities like sing-alongs, but not anymore. Even though there’s a bus, it’s never used to take residents anywhere. The photos on the website showing various activities aren’t even from this facility. I’ve been trying to figure out who owns this place because my family member doesn’t want me calling the owners directly. But every time I visit, I hear complaints about the early meal times and the small amount of food given for dinner, like just a sandwich, chips, or soup. There’s also a lack of variety in the food—chicken is served almost all the time. I really wish I knew who owned this facility and how to contact them. Since no one will give me this information, I guess I’ll have to reach out to someone higher up to ask about the meal times, the supposed activities, and whether they’re supposed to receive a balanced meal at dinner.

"Unsatisfactory Meal Times and Limited Activities at Assisted Living Facility"

Meals are served uncomfortably early at this assisted living facility, with breakfast between 6-6:30 AM and supper no later than 3:30 PM. The residents often grumble about the long morning gap between meals and the scanty dinner that leaves them hungry way before bedtime. Their only solace? Playing Bingo a mere three times a week. The social calendar used to be more diverse, with regular outings and other activities happening regularly. Now, the facility's bus is essentially unused and no sing-alongs or other events are organized. The pictures of various activities on the facility’s website don't reflect the current situation. Information regarding the facility's ownership is elusive. My family member living there doesn't want me to pursue the matter, but considering the numerous complaints I hear during my visits about mealtimes and supper portions, I wish I knew who to contact. Supper often consists of a light offering like a sandwich, chips, or soup. And there’s a lack of variety in food as well- it seems like chicken is served all the time. Without any leads, I suppose I'll contact someone higher up to get answers about the designated meal times, activities, and the supposed balanced meals they should serve for supper.
