"Excellent care and staff at Avendelle of Garner highly recommended"
My mom lived at Avendelle of Garner for two years. The staff and the administrator were amazing and took excellent care of her. I strongly recommend Avendelle of Garner.

"Assisted Living Review: Friendly Staff, Limited Activities"
I liked the owner a lot. We had a lot in common because he is a Vietnamese refugee, and I served in his country. It's a house in a neighborhood with lots of cars. Inside was just okay, and the staff was really friendly. The patients I saw were in the later stages of dementia, so there wasn't much activity.

"Care Issues at Assisted Living Facility despite Caring Owner"
The owner is great, but if you're looking for a place that provides round-the-clock care for your loved one, this isn't it. Initially, I was really impressed, but as time passed, I noticed how the residents were treated when their families weren't around. Believe me, appearances can be deceiving. My relative was hurt here. She used to be able to walk, eat, and go to the bathroom by herself. But since she broke her hip in two places at this facility, she now has three metal rods in her hip. Now at 81, she can't walk, feed herself or use the restroom, and nobody can explain what happened. That's their explanation anyhow. They like to keep the residents medicated so they're less of a nuisance. A few employees are caring, but they're few and far between. Put up five fingers, and you'd still have some left over. The owner, however, is truly caring about the residents but remember he's not there 24/7. If you decide to place your family members here, I'd recommend that you arrange for round-the-clock supervision.
