"Caring Staff and Clean Environment, but Some Communication Issues"
The place is really clean, and the food is tasty. Mom spends a lot of time alone due to her mobility issues and hearing loss. She’s not very social, but everyone treats her nicely. There are a couple of caregivers who go above and beyond to make her smile. I was a bit confused at first about her situation, but I feel better now.

"Excellent care!"
My brother is doing great since moving here. We're happy overall. The halls sometimes smell like urine, but they clean it up quickly. The care is excellent, and everyone is friendly. We'll work on his cleanliness. Good place.

"Mom's Happy Stay at Brookdale Assisted Living"
Mom's staying at Brookdale for a break, and it's going pretty good. I asked for some things that were a bit much, but that's on me, not them. They're taking good care of Mom, meeting her special needs, and she's even making friends. She's happy with the staff, too.

"Failed Commitments and Unresponsive Assisted Living Facility"
This place really let us down. It was a real challenge trying to talk with them and get a response from them. Sometimes, it would take several days before they responded to my message or question. It also seemed like they were telling my family they were doing certain things like helping with baths and walking outside, but I'm not sure they actually did. One of the big reasons we chose them was because they promised to drive to doctor visits if they were within 10 miles. However, once we moved in, setting this up became a huge hurdle. Overall, I wouldn't suggest this assisted living home to anyone.

"They Started Friendly, Then Turned Cold"
I liked how clean the community was, but they didn't pay enough attention to the rooms and personal space. At first, they were really friendly, but after an incident, they became distant. They even lost our laundry, and they never told us anything about my relative passing away. I don't think they ever brushed his teeth. The facility is big, but they didn't involve him as much as they promised. The food was just okay.

"Great Staff, Happy Residents, Need a Steady Director"
The place was excellent. My mom stayed here for almost 3 and a half years. They did everything they could to take care of her. The problem was they hadn't had a regular director in 2 years, just temporary ones who didn't really get to know the residents. Brookdale just kept putting people in charge who came and went. That bothered me because no one was really in charge. When my mom left, the staff was amazing. They are great people, and I respect them a lot because their job is more than just a job; it's a mission. One of the ladies from Burlington Manor still texts me to ask about my mom. The lack of a steady director was a problem, and they also fired a lot of long-time employees. The biggest complaint was the food; it didn't look very good when I was there with my mom. But the people there were happy. They said it wasn't home, but they were okay with it and felt happy, which I liked.

"The Cleanliness Is Questionable, My Father-in-Law's Bathroom Needs Improvement"
The place is mostly clean, but my father-in-law's bathroom needs improvement. The staff tries their best, but he's very ill, so we don't bother him with music. Communication with family is crucial. My husband travels abroad, and I lack guardianship, so communication matters. They're friendly and hardworking, but cleanliness isn't up to my standards—I'm a neat freak.
