"Lack of Care and Attention in Assisted Living Facility"
My loved one would be elsewhere if money wasn't tight. She's not getting the care she needs here. Staff doesn't check rooms or hallways often. Sometimes takes a while for staff to return calls or messages, but they usually do. The person who talked to us first isn't here anymore. They made promises they shouldn't have, causing problems now.

Brookdale Hickory Northeast felt welcoming and valued residents. Staff were friendly during our tour, but the apartments were small and outdated. Overall, it seemed suitable for our loved one, although we opted for independent living first.

"Disappointing Tour of Assisted Living Facility"
Our family visited the facility in person and we were disappointed. It was much more expensive compared to others we checked out. Even though we understand it offers skilled nursing, the room they showed us for our loved one was small, lacked basic amenities like a fridge or microwave, and could only fit a twin bed.

They're doing well despite staffing challenges. Our loved one is happy, enjoys personalizing her space with furniture, and loves that pets can visit.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Quality and Services"
We picked Brookdale because it had one price for everything, and the boss made it sound like they’d take really good care of people. But once we moved in, we noticed that what the boss promised didn’t always match up with what the nurses said they could do for his health needs. Since it was during the COVID times, he also didn’t get to use all the stuff they had there.

"Great location and caring staff at Brookdale Hickory"
We picked Brookdale Hickory because of where it’s located. The rooms here are smaller than some other places we visited. The food looks nice and tastes okay. I want others to know that the staff are very kind and truly care about the people living here. I would suggest this place to others.

"Great service, but check room sizes and prices before moving"
The facility has been great for us, so I’d say go for it. Whenever we call, they’re always ready to answer our questions. I’m not sure about the activities they offer. We have a small, single room now, but it depends on how much you want to spend. My loved one was in a bigger room before, but we had to move to a smaller one because the price went up.
