"Assisted Living Facility Review"
My dad, 81, had late-stage lung cancer diagnosed last December. We sought a place nearby with good care. Brookdale and Amedisys hospice worked together to keep him comfortable. The place is clean, nice, and residents seem happy. I wish Dad met them. Though short, I was at peace he was safe. On [date removed], he moved to a hospice house for constant care. Thanks, Brookdale High Point North and Amedisys hospice. They cared for Dad, my sister, and me on this hard journey.

"Limited 1-star rating, suggests different choice"
It's a good idea to find another place for your family member. The North Carolina State board only gave it a 1-star review.

"Lively Assisted Living for Active Residents"
I moved my dad here from another place. It’s more lively, with an energetic activities director. Staff is great, communication improved, and cleanliness is top-notch. Good fit for active residents.

"Assisted Living Facility Disappoints, Fails to Provide Proper Care"
This place hasn't been good. Like others, they don't have enough staff. My loved one's health got worse since she came here. We're really unhappy. We keep having big problems. They don't pick up the phone. They don't check on her, so she's not eating or drinking right. They don't talk to us about her care. It's not good here.

"Assisted Living Tour Experience: Friendly Staff, Nursing Home Feel"
We checked out Brookdale. Everyone there was super nice and helpful. But the place seemed too much like a nursing home for my mom's taste. I wanted her to feel like she could still do her own thing. It just didn't seem like the right match for her. I think she needed more help than they could offer.

"Friendly Staff, But Not Enough Help and Poor Food Options"
The assisted living place didn’t have enough workers. Because of this, they couldn’t give much attention to the folks living there. The workers were super nice, but there just weren’t enough of them to look after everyone. My family member didn’t like the meals, and nobody made any changes or told them what they were eating, which is important because they can’t see. I think all these problems are because there’s not enough staff.

"Good Fit, Food Variety Could Improve"
It’s a great match for our elderly loved one who can’t drive and is starting to lose their memory. The food variety could be better.

"Assisted Living Facility: Mixed Experience with Staff and Food"
My time at this place was okay. I liked playing bingo and hanging out with other folks. The people who worked here were nice and gave me a hand when I needed it. But the food wasn't great. It seemed like everything was just frozen and heated up again. I didn't see anything that looked homemade. The place was clean, but it felt a bit cold and impersonal.
