"Staff Disappoints Feels Like Nursing Home, Despite Nice Community"
The community was pleasant. I didn't like the staff who gave us the tour. It felt too much like a nursing home.

"“Caring Community with Great Food”"
My dad isn’t feeling great, but he really likes this place. They take good care of him and make sure he’s happy. The food is great, although there was a little mix-up with his medicine. They fixed it now, and I hope the new medicine helps him. The community is mostly clean, and they help him keep his apartment tidy. Overall, I’d recommend this place.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Environment, But Pricey"
My aunt needed a home urgently, and after interacting with this community, I knew it was the right place for her. Since moving in, she’s doing great, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The place is very clean, but it’s a bit pricey.

"Brookdale: Looks Good, Lacks Quality Care or Responsiveness"
Brookdale seems great at first, but don't expect much care. They charge a lot for extra care that they don't really provide. They seem more focused on looking good and organizing activities. So, if you just need an apartment, this is the place. But if you need help in the assisted living center, you should look elsewhere. My mom rang her call button and no one came for 35 minutes. She fell four times in one week and went to the hospital three times. On one of these hospital trips, she fell out of her wheelchair on the transport bus because the late and unkind driver didn't know how to use the wheelchair seatbelt. I tried to help my mom and I ended up falling too. Brookdale never apologized. When my mom got a urinary tract infection from not getting enough water, she became confused and started seeing things. At that point, Brookdale said she wasn't a good fit for the community and suggested that I stay with her all day. So that was Brookdale's solution. In conclusion, my experience with Brookdale has been really unsettling.

"Good care, but watch for extra charges"
Great environment, caring staff, and good food. We were warned about extra "a la carte" charges, and it's true. This place is Assisted Living, not Skilled Care Nursing, so there's a big difference. They provide as much care as you pay for. Anything beyond basic services, like meds, feeding, bathroom help, dressing, and assistance to and from dining, will cost extra. Expect to pay an additional $500 to $1000 per month beyond the quoted price. Be sure to review your bill closely and ask questions.
