"Mixed Experience: Adequate Care but Room for Improvement"
They were okay, but not what I expected. Maybe it was because my mom wasn't doing well, but they didn't help her as much as I hoped. Mom kept calling at all hours. I thought they would be better trained to handle her confusion during the first week. Most people were friendly. However, a few workers were overheard saying they didn't enjoy their jobs. Moving in and out was simple. Most of the staff seemed friendly and involved with residents. They seemed to not have enough staff; the workers seemed stressed and unhappy. But most residents appeared content overall.

"Cozy Assisted Living: A Clean, Helpful, and Comfortable Option"
We visited Brookdale and liked it. The place was super clean, staff was helpful, food menu seemed cool, and residents seemed happy. The layout was comfy, rooms had a living area with a kitchenette and a decent bedroom with a small but good bathroom. The living area was small but fit a love seat and chair. Meals came from a main kitchen, so the kitchenette was enough for snacks and sometimes breakfast. There was a nice sun deck and backyard. I'd rate it 4.8 out of 5.

"Great place, but no openings right now"
This place looks really nice. The only problem is they don't have any openings right now. But it's definitely a great choice if they have space when you need it.

"Assisted Living Facility Offers Cozy Community and Varied Activities"
Since COVID, activities reduced; previously had ice cream socials, bingo, board games. Close to home, average-sized rooms.

"Good care and activities, but pricey with extra charges."
I’m not sure about prices at other places, but this one seems pricey to me. They charge extra for medication and for trips to the doctor. The care is very good, and the activities are nice too. My mom doesn't join in as much as I'd like, but they do encourage her. They have outings to Walmart, the grocery store, and take them out to eat once a month. Carolina House is a blessing for us. My mom would prefer to be at home, but she needs care, and I think they do a good job.
