"Good until needs changed"
My loved one stayed here and it was good until her needs changed.

"Price Increases Disappoint, Care and Activities Satisfactory"
They tell you one price, but when you arrive, they add a lot more money to what you have to pay. The care is good. Activities are enjoyable, but I wish there were more. However, I was very let down by the price increase after our loved one moved in.

"Great activities and friendly staff; recommend Brookdale Rocky Mount!"
We really like all the fun things they do every day for the people living here, and the workers have all been really nice. From what we've seen at Brookdale Rocky Mount, we think other families would like it too.

"Brookdale Staff Cares for Mom During Tough Transition"
My mom has been living at Brookdale in Rocky Mount for around 3 months. It's been a tough transition because she denies having Alzheimer's. The staff has worked hard to make her feel comfortable. The facility is well-maintained, and they offer 3 meals, snacks, and some activities. I think she'll adjust over time. I really appreciate the Brookdale team.

"Good place with friendly nurses, but not the right fit"
Brookdale is a good place. The nurses are very nice. Sadly, we have to move my loved one because he needs more physical therapy. It's a nice community, but it wasn't the right match for us.

"Lack of Care and Communication in Assisted Living Facility"
Some of the workers really care about the people living here, but for most, it's just a job. Communication between shifts is bad. There aren't enough staff to take care of the residents' needs. If someone has trouble talking or understanding, there aren't many activities for them, so they end up stuck in their room all day. The nurse and care coordinator are helpful, but it seems like management doesn't care. Some residents say the director doesn't follow through on their concerns. Money might be the main issue. Management calls family members sometimes, but my concerns haven't been addressed yet. It feels like they're ignoring it.

"Neglectful Staff and Poor Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
My Dad barely lived two months in this place. I was there almost every day of the week. From the highest levels...Leadership was a mess, no coherence or dialogue between them and the staff. Many workers seemed to be there just to collect a paycheck, showing real concern for those in their care was, at most, an afterthought. They weren't friendly to visitors either. Don't even get me started on their attempts at cleaning. Supposedly, the laundry was scheduled for every Tuesday and Friday, but my daughter and I had to constantly remind them. Then, cleaning my Dad's room...well, let's just say it took a full three days to clean up after a single "accident". Honestly, this place makes a mockery of the whole idea of assisted living. I plan on submitting a similar complaint to the Better Business Bureau and North Carolina Council on Aging.

"Management Change Impacts Service Quality at Assisted Living Facility"
I almost gave them 5 stars, but since management changed, it's been rocky. I visit twice weekly and notice issues with both patients and staff due to the management change. The caregivers are familiar with me. Additional services are offered, but one concerning bathing and dressing isn't being delivered as expected. They now lay out clothes but seem inconsistent with bathing. Medication management is excellent—timely and accurate. Social activities are beneficial.
