"Neglect and Oversights Lead to Tragedy at Assisted Living Facility"
My mom tragically passed away in this facility. They labeled her cause of death as "Adult Failure to Thrive". If your loved one can take care of their own meals, they might be okay here. But if they need extra help to eat slowly and safely, the staff is too busy and frequently gets called away to help other residents. I wish the head RN from when my mom was there is gone now. She didn't respond to my mom's pleas for help, thinking she was just pretending. Each time I asked her if she had passed on my mom's health issues to the main nurse who visited weekly, she responded with sarcasm and claimed she had. When I was lucky enough to talk to the main nurse, she told me she hadn't heard about my mom's issues. One mistake from the nurse in residence led to my mom being rushed to the emergency room with bleeding eardrums. I wouldn't advise anyone to send their loved ones who require special attention to this facility.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
The people I met on the tour were really nice. But it felt too much like a hospital. I wanted something cozier for my mom. Maybe it’s good for others, but not for us.

"Elmcroft’s Care and Staffing Fall Short"
Like many places, Elmcroft doesn’t have enough workers. The medical techs have too much to do and don’t get paid enough, which means they often leave and temporary workers have to come in. They couldn’t give my mom the special care they said they would and that we paid for. After my mom passed away, they still billed us for three days of nursing care and won’t give our money back.

"Great care and loving staff despite some phone issues"
I really love this place. They are taking great care of my dad. I'm so grateful we found them. He’s doing much better now. They got him using a walker when he wasn’t trying to walk before. They encourage him a lot, and he’s even started singing. One nurse stands out with her special care and love. She’s been very helpful to me and knows my dad well. There’s been some change in administration and they’re going through a buyout, so they’re dealing with some issues. The phones are often hard to get answered, and instead of office staff, the caregiving staff has to answer them. Although many places are short-staffed, they manage to handle things well. They just need a better phone system. Overall, I love the place.

"Disrespectful Cook May Cause Move to Another Home"
The cook at the assisted living home, [name removed], is always impolite and inconsiderate. I'm seriously thinking about moving to another home if the situation doesn't improve.

"A good place"
This community has been a great fit for us. The staff are friendly and helpful, and my loved one enjoys the food and coffee. While there's no weight room, they do offer arts and crafts activities.
