"Positive Experience with The Addison Despite Nurse Turnover Concerns"
My family member lives at The Addison, and it's been great. They helped reduce costs, allowing her to stay longer. I'd recommend it, despite occasional nurse turnover; other staff is reliable.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Attention to Residents"
My family member stayed at The Addison for a bit, and it was just okay. I think they should pay more attention to the people living there. She didn't get washed as she should have. Also, there was old food in her room that they should've gotten rid of. It seemed like they weren't very careful about things in general.

"Disappointingly Unsafe Assisted Living Facility with Insufficient Care"
This place was good at first; they were excellent at their marketing pitches during intake. I noticed several problems, though. There were way too many residents and not enough people working there. The care my family member got was barely enough. After staying there for a while, there was a noticeable decrease in their alertness and wellness. From the outside, the place looked great but there was very little for my family member to actually do in there. I wasn't pleased with the safety measures either, like the lack of padding on the floor or safety rails. With the facility having hardwood floors, it didn't feel secure. My family member fell from their bed and got seriously hurt, eventually passing away. The center didn't even refund me. In the end, all the lovely things they promised at the beginning never materialized. I wouldn't ever advise anyone to take their loved ones there.

"Unimpressive Tour Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I went to check out this place and I would NOT suggest it based on my visit. Maybe they were having an off day, but we stood in the lobby for almost 15 minutes before someone even said hello. The janitor was the one who showed us around. We couldn't get any info about how much it costs or anything like that during our visit. We didn't like the way things were done or the place itself.

"Lackluster Tour and Staffing Issues in Assisted Living Facility"
The tour wasn't welcoming, felt robotic. They showed basics, but lacked enthusiasm. Heard about staffing shortages and bad care.

"Inattentive Staff and Poor Safety, Really Let Down"
The welcome we got at this place was really disappointing. We walked in and found nobody for quite a while. When someone finally noticed us, they just led us in without even greeting first, which felt rude. This place also takes care of folks with memory issues, so it's troubling that the entrance isn't constantly supervised. From what I saw, it just seemed like they didn't really care about their residents. Overall, we were really let down.

"Unhappy Residents, Miserable Staff at Carillon Assisted Living Facility"
I'm sorry, but I can't say anything good about this place. Sure, the place looks nice. It's clean and the rooms are okay. I hung out with my sister at Carillon for five days. She moved in back in September. I keep hearing from her and her friends that she's pretty bummed out there. She's really dissatisfied with the food. She says there's no choice at all. I ate with her twice - lunch and dinner. I couldn't even tell what I had for dinner. Honestly, it was some of the worst food I've ever had, and I've eaten airplane food. Another issue was how miserable the helpers seemed. Some were doing their best, but they seemed to lack proper knowledge or support to take good care of people with dementia. My sis is in the early stage. She looks like she can take care of herself, but she can't. You can just tell by looking at her. She can't really shower herself properly without help. She says she doesn't need help but trust me, she does. Besides her memory loss, she also has a physical disability that requires hands-on help. She's not getting that at Carillon. I told the new manager and head nurse about my concerns. They seemed surprised and told me they needed 3 weeks to fix everything. I do appreciate their willingness and I believe they're doing their best. But, I don't think they can fix all these issues in just 3 weeks. It's not just about the staff or the top management. It's more about the way the corporate office runs things. So, I'm moving my sister out. Here's hoping that the two ladies in charge can turn the place around. But, I can't leave my sister there to find out.

"Avoid this Facility: Poor Care, High Prices and Unpleasant Odors"
This has got to be the worst place to have a family member stay. They're always lacking enough caregivers and the rate they lose them is shocking. The scent of urine greets you before you even get to the so-called "Garden Area". The price is steep considering the poor quality of care given. There's a lot of accidents with the residents. I can only name a handful of dependable workers and believe me, NONE of them are managing the place. This place is just insincere, indifferent, and clearly just focused on money-making. AVOID if you care for your loved ones.
