"Caring Staff, Outdated Look, Terrible Food: Needs Improvement"
Everyone who works here is nice and understanding. However, the building looks old-fashioned and needs to be modernized. Plus, the food is really bad. Even though the staff are great, the place and the meals could be much better.

"Unhappy with communication and level of care at facility"
I was really upset with my experience here. They would take my loved one to the hospital without even telling me. I'd get calls from the hospital, clueless that she got transferred. When I requested information from Carolina Reserve, they didn't respond. They finally informed me that they were sending her to a mental institution for an evaluation. The institution diagnosed her with a form of dementia that Carolina Reserve couldn't provide care for and I was told we had to move her. I didn't appreciate our treatment at all.

"Lacking Stimulation in Assisted Living"
This place had a bunch of folks outside but they were kinda on their own without much to do.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
When we visited, the place seemed nice, but appearances deceive. There are many residents who need more care, so not many people to talk to. It might not be best for those who need more interaction. Staff tried hard to help during a tough time. The place looked clean, but the rooms are a bit old-fashioned, especially the small bathrooms with pedestal sinks and limited counter space. However, they do have stand-up showers with benches.

"Rooms Need Brightening"
Due to COVID, they have fewer staff, but the workers are caring and do their best. Initially, they had great activities, but later, there were none. The rooms feel a bit gloomy.

"Great care, friendly staff, and a safe environment!"
I feel confident that my Mom is well taken care of, safe, and stable here. The staff is always friendly, easy to talk to, professional, and caring. They truly care about my Mom’s well-being, and that’s really important to me!

"Friendly staff and engaging activities, but more variety needed"
My family member is in the memory care unit at Carolina Reserve. The staff is friendly, but working with this group can be hard, and some staff seem annoyed sometimes. The CNAs who give out medications work all the time and are always busy with their computer screens and giving out medicine. It would be great to have more staff. The CNAs do an excellent job. The best part of Carolina Reserve is the activity directors, who are very friendly and engaging. I wish they had more types of activities and always had music in the lobby! Music helps with depression in dementia and Alzheimer's patients. Overall, my family member's experience has been good, but their main complaint is boredom.

"Facility Fails in Care and Management, Horrible Food"
Skip this place, seriously. My father spent several months here and eventually needed more care. They were quick to up the cost, but diligent care never followed. Whenever we voiced concern, we'd see immediate—but brief—improvement. Then it was back to business as usual. My father has since passed away, and yet two weeks later, we're still waiting on the death certificate from this place. Carolina's management really dropped the ball. They don't deliver anything close to the level of care they promise or charge for. It's unclear if it's indifference, understaffing, or simply policy. Services we were initially told we'd receive became things we had to fight for. They seriously need a fresh review of their rating and practices. I know I may sound resentful, but it's not that. It's being completely realistic—and honest—about the experience here. Then, there's the food, which is miserably bad. Honestly, even Bojangles seems like a culinary delight in comparison. However, that's hardly the biggest issue. There must be better options out there for our elderly loved ones.

"Unfulfilled promises, staffing issues, persistent smell, limited seating."
When Raven Solutions took over, promises broken, staffing issues, smell persists.
