"Safety concerns and socialization lacking at Concord Place affected decision."
The bathroom shower felt unsafe for my husband. Socializing lacked, punctuality issue.

"Mixed Feelings About Concord Place Assisted Living"
Concord Place was okay, and it was the first place we checked out. One thing that worried me was they had doors leading outside. If Mom had walked out, they said she might need memory care for safety reasons. I didn't think the place was very secure because they expected residents to remember not to go outside. Since Mom has memory problems, I didn't trust she could handle that situation well.

"Convenient Location and Responsive Care at Assisted Living Facility"
The food is decent. We chose this place because it's near my home and one of the nicer ones. Whenever I ask for something, they are fast to help and take care of my loved one's needs. The staff is very friendly and kind.

"A clean, pleasant option!"
We visited Brookdale to show our family assisted living. Aunt approved, uncle hesitated. The place was clean and pleasant; it could have been our choice.

""Steer clear, this facility has numerous issues!""
My husband stayed at this place for roughly 2 weeks. They did not give him food if he didn't like what was served. There was no air conditioning in his room when I came to visit him. His teeth weren't clean. His stuff was mysteriously disappearing from his room. They made us pay for everything.

" Recommend Brookdale Concord South for Assisted Living "
Brookdale Concord South is doing pretty well. One thing they could improve is having a printed schedule. When we moved in, we had lots of questions like when does laundry happen, or when do they clean the room? It would've been helpful to have all this info in a handout. Also, after 6 weeks, we haven't heard much about how she's doing. I'd like a monthly report or something similar. I asked about regular meetings, but they only have them if something changes. I think it's better to have a monthly meeting to check in on how things are going. It'd be nice to get more updates. Right now, I have to go looking for information. Overall, it's been pretty good though. Moving to a new place at this age is an adjustment. She was confused because there were lots of workers and they don't work every day. But I think we're past the hardest part of the adjustment now. I know all the staff, and they've all been helpful and friendly. We chose this place because it's smaller and less overwhelming for her, and it has been. We would definitely recommend it.

"Overall Satisfaction Despite Room Cleaning Issue"
We really like the activities and staff at Brookdale Concord South. However, they don’t clean my mom’s room thoroughly; it’s only halfway done. Overall, though, we’re quite happy with this facility.

"Costly but clean: services extra, no Medicare/Medicaid, can't judge care."
We visited here. It's pleasant, but pricey. You pay extra for everything, and they don't take Medicare or Medicaid. The place was tidy and quite pleasant, but it's costly. I can't give feedback on the care or activities.

"Friendly Staff, Not Pushy, Fair Pricing"
Brookdale Concord South is pretty good. My mom can be really stubborn, and when she decides she doesn’t want to do something, there’s no changing her mind. The staff tries their best within what they can do. They’re not pushy with her at all. Everyone working there is super nice and they don’t make me pay for stuff we don’t need. The person in charge of fun stuff has set up a bunch of activities to keep my mom occupied if she feels like it.

"Not satisfied"
My relative never got a chance to move into Horizon Bay. We paid upfront, but they rejected us just days before the move-in date. Unfortunately, they’ve been uncooperative about refunding our money. The staff is friendly but not helpful. If you consider this community, avoid paying upfront—wait until your family member is settled. Very disappointed.

"Feb 23 Visit: More Nursing Home Than Retirement Center"
Visited this place on February 23. Noticed that a lot of the people living there seemed to be in poor health, physically speaking. The whole place gave off a sad vibe, but it's worth mentioning that the employees were nice and eager to assist. The place actually reminded me more of a nursing home rather than a retirement home.

"Needs More Structure"
This place is really nice, but they seemed a bit casual in how they presented things. I think having more structure is important, especially for Alzheimer's patients. They might have a great program, but the lack of clear organization didn't seem ideal to me.

"Great communication but could improve staff schedules for consistency."
This place does a good job overall. What I like most is how open and willing they are to talk to me. But there's one thing they could do better: keeping track of schedules for their staff. Sometimes, one person doesn't know what's happened with my loved one, and that can make it hard for them to explain things to me. Maybe they need better systems for keeping track of what's been done on different shifts or days. Still, I'm happy with the people here. My loved one seems to have settled in well. It's a smaller place, so I think she gets more one-on-one attention, which is nice.
