"A Bright and Cozy Assisted Living Experience"
The process of moving in was great. Our room, though smaller than others we saw, felt cozy and comfy. The staff helped us set up a floating shelf and answered our questions promptly. There are plenty of activities, and residents meet monthly to discuss concerns. Despite being an older facility, it’s bright and cheerful.

"Headline: "Highly-Priced Care Facility Neglects Mother-In-Law, Leading to Death""
'Care' should be at the heart of every assisted living facility, especially when they cater to the elderly and those dealing with complicated medical conditions. My mother-in-law has been in two different facilities, and we moved her to Terra Bella, believing it could not be worse than the first one in Virginia. Her care level is billed at the highest rate, yet the service we've received tells a different story. Mom, who can't do much for herself, would be left alone in the bathroom for an hour. When we asked for more frequent check-ins, we were told we'd need to hire a private assistant. Then, mom fell in the bathroom, and remained there for 45 minutes before help arrived. She was rushed to the emergency room, and sadly, she passed away three days later.

"Terra Bella: Poor Service and Unfulfilled Promises"
My mom or dad stayed at Terra Bella for just a little while before we switched to a different place. It was hard to find the staff, and when we did, they weren't nice. The food wasn't good at all, and they didn't keep their promises. I met other families who were also unhappy. You can find better places in Raleigh.

"Disappointing Experience at Terra Bella Assisted Living Facility"
My experience at Terra Bella wasn't good. They promised the Shine program but didn't deliver. My dad's bed often had wet or dirty sheets. We gave them enough sheets, but they disappeared. Other residents rummage through his room and break things. They don't help residents go to the bathroom, even though they said they would. Sometimes my dad doesn't soil his clothes if I'm there, but on weekdays, he goes through a lot because they don't assist him. I had to install a camera because of his frequent falls. Once, he was left alone for 40 minutes after falling, which could have caused serious injury. They don't follow basic rules, and I end up cleaning a lot when I visit. They neglect basic hygiene tasks like brushing teeth and giving showers unless I remind them. The care plan is nonexistent. Some staff are great, but others need to experience the care they give to understand its impact. There are rarely any activities. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone's loved ones.

"Caring Community with Personable Directors"
We chose this place because the staff are really caring! The managers were friendly and easy to reach. I think other families would like it here.

"A Place for Mom: Great Service and Follow-Up"
I was really disappointed with how the people in charge communicated. Our family member got pushed and fell, but the staff didn’t keep us informed. They sent her to one hospital, but it turned out she was somewhere else. The administrators never reached out to us. When I talked to them, they acted like it wasn’t a big deal. Later, she fell again and got hurt. They didn’t even know about her medical wishes. It was frustrating. Sadly, she passed away a few weeks later. No one told the rescue team about her ‘do not resuscitate’ order. There should be a note about that by her bed. The facility didn’t call me after she passed. I had to go there myself. On the bright side, I highly recommend ‘A Place for Mom.’ Their service was great, and I appreciated their follow-up.

"Improvements and Challenges at Assisted Living Facility"
The activities director really tries to make residents excited. They improved the call bell system, which is great for my mother-in-law. The facility always keeps the door locked, so you need help getting in and out. Unfortunately, they don't offer manicures, and the hairdresser system isn't organized. The recent renovation made the inside brighter. The neighborhood and grounds are nice. The staff is average, and the primary care provider, Eventus, isn't our favorite. Their employees are overworked.

"Stay on Top of Things for a Good Experience at Terrabella Northridge"
Terrabella Northridge is pretty good overall, but you have to make sure you stay on top of things. It's important to stay on top of almost everything, especially keeping clean.

"Great Tour Guide, Disappointing Community at TerraBella"
TerraBella felt gloomy. The tour guide was awesome and truly appeared to enjoy her work. It just felt like an outdated care home. The score is a 2 solely due to the poor community, while the tour guide deserved a 5.

"Mixed Feelings"
I visited this place, and it was decent. The staff was friendly, and the price was fair. But it definitely felt like a nursing home.

"Dismal Atmosphere and Unfriendly Staff at TerraBella"
TerraBella doesn't feel welcome. The Executive Director is always holed up in her office. She didn't even bother to introduce herself during our tour. The Assisted Living staff didn't seem friendly. I noticed a Certified Nursing Assistant talking down to a resident like they were a kid. The Memory Care section was downright depressing. Residents were aimlessly wandering, their clothes filthy. One staff member was casually walking around with her pants sagging. Overall, the staff didn't seem happy. I wanted to talk with the Nursing Director, but after the tour, she was just lounging in her car smoking. It's not a good environment for my dad.
