"Caring and Informative Assisted Living"
My mom lives at Henderson Care Center. I really like it there and would suggest it to others. They keep me updated, and from what I can tell, they take great care of my mom. No issues. As for activities, I haven't seen them.

"Unhealthy, Smoky, and Messy: Unsafe Living Facility"
This place is super gross, smelling like cigarettes all the time since lots of the people who work there are smokers. Even though they're supposed to smoke outside, they hang out near the doors so you have to walk through their smoke to get inside. And watch out if you have asthma! It's really messy too with trash, including cigarette butts, right outside the doors. The people living there are always hanging out in the main area looking messy and dirty. No one is wearing masks or signing in or even getting checked for a fever when they come in, which is not safe and super unprofessional. Plus, the people who work there don't wear uniforms, so you can't tell them apart from the residents.

"Affordable Facility with Untrained Staff and Oversized Units"
I wouldn't choose this place for my mom. Sure, it's affordable, but the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. They were all smoking, masks off, right in the middle of the covid outbreak. The independent living apartments were massive, almost too much for an older person to handle. Plus, they had assisted living here too, which made the place feel more like a hospital than a home.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"
I enjoy the independent living villas, but the nursing facility didn’t feel as homey as other places. The meals are good, and my loved one appreciates the food. The staff are helpful and welcoming.

"Poor dietary care, lost personal items, late wake-ups."
This place doesn't care about diabetics' diets, feeding them any kind of food, including daily treats of candy and cake. They are really careless with residents' personal things, often getting them lost in the laundry. I even found a resident still asleep in bed at 2 pm! Honestly, patients might be better off on the side of a road rather than living here.

Make sure you really look into this place before you leave your loved one there, especially if they can't move around by themselves.

Full of Regret
"Avoid if loved one needs basic care: undertrained staff, neglect."
This place is just okay if your loved one doesn't need help with dressing, using the bathroom, or eating. But, my loved one didn't get good care here, and I had to complain a lot to the managers. The staff isn't trained well and doesn't take good care of the residents. They leave them alone for a long time. Most of the staff is usually smoking or gossiping about the residents. There are always new people working here, and they aren't trained either. They shouldn't be working with old people! The food isn't healthy and it's usually cold and awful. Don't go here if your loved one can't move around by themselves! The price might be low, but the care isn't good.
