"Attentive Staff and Comfortable Environment at Morningside"

My experience has been really good. The staff, especially the medical team, is very attentive. They've kept me informed about my father, which I appreciate. He's quite happy and comfortable at Morningside.

"Warning Signs"

This heartfelt review sheds light on the shortcomings of an assisted living facility. The focus on profit over residents’ well-being is concerning, and the lack of attention to individual needs is disheartening. Families, take heed!

" "Alert! Subpar Care & Neglect at this Assisted Living Facility.""

I strongly advise not to send your family member to this place, at least not to the Memory Care section. The initial impression might seem appealing but don't be deceived! The main concern here seems to be money-making and ensuring the facility and its staff stay away from any blame for anything that might happen. The bare minimum is offered to the residents! Their activity schedule is nothing more than an empty promise and is seldom followed through. I've seen residents left in the dining room from one meal until the next! There's an absolute lack of personal attention given to individual residents! My list of grievances can go on. If this review stops one family from sending their loved one here, its purpose is served.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living, Worth the Cost"

Cleanliness: Most places I saw were clean. Value: All places like this cost a lot. Friendliness: The staff and people there are nice. Care Services: They give really good care. Activities: I like playing board games there.

"Impressive memory care, top contender in Charlotte for Mom."

I toured on Wednesday, Feb 26th. Memory care impressed me most.

"Lack of Social Atmosphere in Assisted Living Facility"

The place didn't really make me happy. It was cool, but not in a good way. I went to one in Gastonia, and it felt so empty. I could have stood in the hallways with a shotgun and not hit anyone. It's scary when people don't socialize. All the doors were closed, nobody seemed friendly or outgoing. The staff was nice, though. But there weren't many residents around to make it lively.

"Not a Social Place"

I was not pleased. It was kind of a cool atmosphere. As a matter of fact, I shared with the one in Gastonia that I could have stood in the hallways with a shotgun and fired down the hall and not hit anybody. That’s scary when you see a lack of socialization like that—all the doors closed, no doors open. It’s not a friendly, outgoing place, although the staff seemed friendly and outgoing. They just didn’t have a resident group that factored into that.” Simplified version: “I didn’t like it. The place felt cold and unfriendly. No one talked to each other, and all the doors were closed. The staff was nice, but there wasn’t a sense of community.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"

I picked Morningside of Concord for my mom because they claimed to be the only place with a sliding scale. But turns out, others offer it too. Not thrilled about that. They moved her to senior care without asking me (I'm her power-of-attorney), and then I got a $9500 bill because they didn't cash my check.

"Unhappy with Morningside of Concord's Services"

I picked Morningside of Concord for my mom because they had a sliding scale, but I found out others offer it too. They moved her to senior care without asking me, even though I'm her power-of-attorney. Then, they didn't cash my check and sent a $9500 bill.

"Assisted Living Facility: Hotel-Like Amenities with Insulin Options"

This place feels like a hotel, and they have one room that helps with insulin on a sliding scale. You need to bring all your own stuff, like bed, bedding, towels, lamps, TV, phone, and nightstand.

"Separate dining and care floors; rooms with showers."

This assisted living place has different floors for different needs. Dementia patients stay on the second floor, while those needing personal care are on the first floor with a few on the second. They eat separately based on whether they can feed themselves or not. Each room has its own shower.

"Facility lacks readily available state survey results, otherwise satisfactory."

I liked this place, but they didn't have their state survey results easily available, which they're supposed to by law.
