"Facility and Staff Okay, Owner Disappointing"

I thought the place and the people working there were fine, but they didn't have all the things they needed to really make it work. The boss seems more interested in money than anything else. He doesn't seem to care about the workers or the people living there. He just talks smooth but I wouldn't trust him one bit.

"Poor Care, High Prices: A Nightmare Assisted Living Experience"

Right off the bat, we were thrilled. The thought of a cozy setting where our loved one's needs would be taken care of was appealing. However, it quickly became the worst decision we've ever made. The owner was a pure disaster. He started jacking up the prices almost immediately, and kept raising them every few weeks. And by a lot. Care staff kept quitting. There were no activities. Our beloved family member was left in her room alone all the time. The owner seemed to only care about making money and was rudely disrespectful to our family. He showed no sympathy whatsoever.

"Untrustworthy Owner and Poor Management at Assisted Living Facility"

You should realize that the owner of this assisted living facility will say anything you want to hear just to get you there. But as soon as you’re in, they will increase your rent significantly. There are no fun activities for the residents. Plus, the caregivers are always quitting, which shows how unstable the staffing is. The owner is also really impolite, lacks respect, and doesn’t care about the residents. You really cannot trust this place.

"Friendly and Comfortable Assisted Living with Great Amenities"

Senior Retreat at Park Crossing has been really good. It’s the second home of its kind from a Charlotte home health care agency. It’s in a nice neighborhood and has six bedrooms, a games room, a big living area, a large screened porch, a dining room, and an eat-in kitchen. The staff are licensed caregivers who are very nice and seem competent. They prepare nutritious meals and also give residents their medications, take care of their health, and help with grooming. It’s always clean and neat. There are some scheduled daily activities, and there’s an activities director who tries to include the residents’ interests in the planned activities. They have puzzles, TV, crafts, and monthly family meetings. Also, they have a relationship with UNCC. Students from the gerontology program visit once a week to work with the residents. The place is comfortable, cozy, and family-oriented. We’re happy so far and would recommend it to others.
