"Frustrating Tour at Unimpressive Spring Arbor of Apex"
Our visit to Spring Arbor of Apex was disappointing. As soon as we finished our tour, we knew it wasn't going to make our list of potential places. It was dirty and the people living there didn't seem well cared for. From start to finish, it was an unpleasant experience.

"Meal Quality Falls Short at Assisted Living Facility"
The meal was just okay, like takeout food. It felt like it was made off-site for the residents.

"Good Care, Clean Facility, but Cost Increase Disappoints"
I’d tell others to consider this place. My family member is well taken care of here. If there’s any care he’s missing out on, it’s because he says no to it. But I do have a hard time making sure he takes his baths. Sometimes, I feel like the staff could do better at encouraging him to do things like that. They’re really great at keeping the place neat and tidy, though. Plus, they have lots of fun stuff to do. The only bummer is, we just got here and they’re already trying to raise the price on us. They told us that would only happen once a year, so that’s a bit of a letdown.

"Disgusting Facility; Rude Staff and Bug Infestations"
This facility is terrible. My mom's apartment was infested with bed bugs. It's starting to look like it's being deserted. The employees just don't show any concern for your family members. Seriously, don't waste your time going there, it's a disaster.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living with Thoughtful Dementia Care"
I really liked how they have separate "cottages" for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's. Many of the residents were out of their rooms, not just sitting inside. The whole place was very clean, and there was no bad smell anywhere. The staff were super friendly and always had a smile on their faces.

"Clean and Engaging Environment with Concerns About Staffing Ratios"
The assisted living facility was very clean. The residents looked happy and were involved in activities. There were no bad smells anywhere. The only worry was that there was one caregiver for every sixteen patients.

"Good Experience Overall"
We had to move Mom to another place because she needed more care. But our time in this community was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. We only have good things to say about this community, and I’d recommend it.

"Great place with friendly people, just a bit far away!"
The director we met was great. I talked to many residents during our tour, and they all said they love it there. It’s an older place and not as bright and cheerful as the one we picked, but I think my mom would have enjoyed it because she’s very social and everyone there, both staff and residents, was very friendly. They offered lots of activities and had good pricing. If it had been a bit closer to our home, we might have chosen it. Overall, it seemed like a warm and caring place for a loved one.

"A Mixed Experience"
I visited this assisted living facility while looking for a new home for my mom. It's located in a nice, safe neighborhood close to shopping, hospitals, and medical offices. The entrance is appealing, but when I walked in, the residents didn't seem very cheerful. Initially, there was no one to greet me, which made me question the staff's organization. Eventually, a friendly person (probably the director) welcomed me and asked about my mom's needs. The facility was clean, though the decor felt a bit outdated. They offer furniture or allow you to bring your own. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, some with great views. However, there seemed to be fewer daily activities compared to other places I've seen. The menu looked good, but I was concerned that the director didn't fully understand the care options, especially regarding medication management. What turned me off was her focus on the community fee rather than getting to know my mom. It left a bad impression, even though the facility itself is probably great.

"Just a bad vibe"
I visited this assisted living facility while searching for a new home for my mom. It's located in a nice, safe neighborhood close to shopping, hospitals, and medical offices. The entrance is appealing, but when I stepped inside, I noticed several residents waiting without much cheer. Initially, no one greeted me, which made me question the staff's organizational skills. Eventually, a friendly person (possibly the director) welcomed me and asked basic questions about my mom's needs. The facility was clean and odor-free, although the decor felt a bit outdated. I appreciated that they provide furniture or allow residents to bring their own. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, some with great views. However, the daily activities seemed fewer than at other places I'd visited, although the menu looked good. There were socializing areas, but they appeared underutilized. While the prices seemed reasonable, I felt the director lacked knowledge about certain aspects of care, especially medication management. What ultimately turned me away was her focus on the community fee rather than getting to know my mom. It gave me a bad vibe, despite the facility's potential.

"Beautiful Setting, Uncertain Care"
It costs more than where he is now, but my daughter thinks if we gather all the kids, we might afford it. The place looks nice, and my daughter says it's beautiful. However, pretty surroundings don't always mean good care. You hope they'll treat your loved one well, but there are no guarantees.

"Beautiful but uncertain care, costly, may consider with family help"
It costs more than where he is now, but my daughter said if we can gather all the kids, we might afford it. It looks lovely, and my daughter says it's beautiful, but nice appearances don't always mean good care. You hope they'll care for your loved one like you would, but you can't really guarantee anything."
