"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"

They've been helpful with daddy's needs. We've worked closely with some staff to check on him. Based on feedback from daddy and others, there's room for improvement. They're doing their best but sometimes don't have enough staff. Daddy's in memory care; his mind is active but he can't interact much. This needs improvement. It costs more than what's provided. Overall, they've helped us with daddy. No place is perfect, but we're not moving him. It's convenient and meets his needs. It's tough when a family member is in memory care but still cognitively active. Different people have different cognitive levels in the unit, and it's hard for staff to manage them all.

"Assisted Living Review: Clinical, Enthusiastic Staff, Outdoor Activities, Affordable Services"

This place feels more like a hospital than the one in New Bern. The furniture is simple. But the staff here is super excited about helping people. They showed me the Memory Care area right away. It's separate and locked. There's a nice outdoor area too, with a garden and stuff to do. It's not huge, but it's pretty and has a walking path. They really want people here to be active. There aren't too many people, maybe 8 to 10. Most of them were in the activities center. There are nurses around, and the place is cozy, like our living room. There are other areas too, like a dining room. Some people use walkers, some just sit and relax. It costs about $5,000 each month, but that includes everything. There's also a small $500 fee to get started.
