"Fire Disrupts Top Choice Assisted Living Tour"

Our family visited Spring Arbor for an in-person tour, and it was our top pick. Unfortunately, they had a fire and had to relocate all the residents just as I was about to speak with them again. I believe my mother would have been the most active person in the memory care section.

"Great Care and Reasonable!"

The cottage where my family member lives has had some staffing changes recently, which made communication harder. They admitted they haven’t had a full-time cleaning staff for a while, but now they do, and things are getting better. The staff is excellent and has been wonderful with my dad. He’s even gaining weight. Overall, it’s very reasonable.

"Not the Ideal Choice for My Loved One"

Compared to other places I visited, Spring Arbor of Raleigh didn't feel well-organized or very clean. It just didn't seem like the right fit for my family member.

"Assisted Living Falls Short in Communication and Personal Care"

I want to tell others about my experience here. I asked them to keep me updated weekly about how my dad was doing, but they never did. He didn't want help with showering and they didn't check his body or skin. If I hadn't pushed to visit, they wouldn't have noticed some issues. His cleanliness has suffered since he's been here. I took him to the dermatologist for a full body check, but they didn't even make sure he had underwear on. They have fun activities, but they don't encourage him when he says no. It's not worth the money. Overall, I'm not happy with our experience.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Good Program, Small Living Space"

I liked the wellness program and the extra attention they give to residents. The technology they use is better than usual. [Name removed] was really nice! But the biggest problem is the setup of the rooms. There's not much privacy, the personal space is really small, and sharing a bathroom isn't great. And you'd think shared space would cost less.

"Warm and Caring Memory Care Unit with Great Value"

My mom moved to the memory care unit at Spring Arbor called the Cottage Care unit. It's small, which is good for people who can't move much and have dementia. The staff are really kind and caring. They take really good care of the people who live there. I've been there several times in the last 3 months and hardly ever smelled anything bad. The food is okay. There aren't a lot of activities, but that's because the people who live there can't do much. Overall, I think Spring Arbor is a great place for the money. I'm really happy we moved my mom there.

"Mixed Experience: Nice Community, Limited Care Options for High Needs"

I liked this place, but unfortunately, my wife needed more care than they could provide. It's a nice place to live, everyone is very kind. It's good for those who don't need much care. We enjoyed our time here.

"Great Community, but More Care Needed"

I really liked this place, but my wife needed more help than they could give. It's a nice place to live, and everyone is very kind. It's good for someone who doesn't need a lot of care. We enjoyed our time here.

"Spring Arbor"

Spring Arbor was like other places we liked in the area. I liked how it looked and it was a nice community. The only thing I didn't like while I was there was that no one was around and it seemed empty. Maybe everyone was out on a trip that day.

"Seemed empty during visit."

Spring Arbor felt similar to other nearby communities. I appreciated the layout and the friendly atmosphere. The only downside was that it seemed empty since no one was around during my visit when the residents were out on an outing.

"Understaffed Facility Disappoints Despite Helpful Staff"

Spring Arbor is a nice place. He is really helpful and knew a lot about the place and what they do. My worry was that there weren't enough staff for the number of patients. I only saw a few staff members, and there were around 76 patients.

"Short-Staffed Assisted Living Facility Raises Concerns"

Spring Arbor is a nice place. The staff was really helpful and knew a lot about the facility and what they offer. But I noticed there weren't many staff members for the 76 patients.

"Wonderful Community That Feels Like Family"

Spring Arbor is a lovely place with lots of activities that keep everyone happy. The place is always clean, smells nice, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I've been volunteering there for years, and they really feel like family to me.

"Older Facility with Small Rooms and Bathrooms"

It was okay, but the place was old, and the rooms and bathrooms were tiny. It felt more like a bedroom and bathroom than a home.

"What Dad Needed"

It's been okay so far. Dad was having trouble at home, always wanting to go out the door. We had to move him to a lockdown facility near the highway. The staff is friendly, and they organize activities. He even enjoys dancing to the music. The only challenge was him rolling off the beds, so we got a hospital bed. I appreciate the security code for the lockdown area.
