"Covington Neglected to Inform on Mom's Fatal Fall"
My mom stayed at the Covington in Raleigh. After falling and hurting her head, she sadly died at the ED in Rex. The worst part? The Covington's staff didn't even bother to tell me she fell. Seriously reconsider if you're thinking about this place!

Friend of Longterm Care Reside
"Avoid This Facility: Poor Care, Overworked Staff, and Unpleasant Environment"
Do not entrust your loved ones here. The quality of care isn't up to snuff, and the facility is consistently unclean. Overworked nursing aids and technicians seem to be a result of understaffing or a high turnover rate. The residents are often herded together or abandoned by elevators because of lack of staff, and they spend their time aimlessly staring at each other, with hardly any interaction. It feels like they're just parked there, waiting for the end in a unpleasant, gloomy setting.

"Higher Level of Care Not Suitable for Mother"
The tour made it clear this place isn't right for Mom. The staff understood and still showed us around. They provide a higher level of care here.

"Honest Sales Team Not Suitable for Mom's Care Needs"
We didn't go see this place after talking to the sales team. They were really upfront and told us their community wouldn't work well for my mom. One reason was they couldn't provide the level of care she needed. I liked how honest they were.

"Unattended Resident Found Under Bed During Facility Tour"
When I visited this place, they were guiding me through the community and wanted me to see an unoccupied room. I noticed the bed was untidy and mentioned it. When the employee tried to tidy it up, she found a missing resident hidden under the covers that no one knew was gone. I noticed that the people living there weren't socializing with one another and the environment was not welcoming at all. However, they did have a well-maintained outdoor area that was secure for those who could walk. Still, there's no way I'd ever consider bringing my wife here.

The place seems really old and worn out. It just doesn't seem like it's up to my mom's standards.

"Caring Community for Loved Ones"
The staff here have been really helpful to my loved one since she moved in. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone looking for a home for their loved one. I appreciate how well they communicate with me and respond to all my needs. My mom is eating well and the staff are encouraging her to join in activities with the other residents throughout the day.

"Pleasant Staff, Limited Activities at The Covington"
The folks working at The Covington are real kind and they’re always there to lend a hand. My dad’s pretty happy with the meals, but he’s hoping for more different kinds of food to pick from. There aren’t a whole bunch of things to do there. But the place? It’s neat and looks like they take good care of it. If you’re not after a place that’s buzzing with stuff to do all the time, this spot might be just right for you.

"Needs Better Social Interaction"
The place is nice, clean, and staff are friendly. However, my mom needs more social interactions, and the residents we observed seemed unaware of how to engage. Not the right fit.

"Assisted Living Community Review"
This place is nice and clean. They take good care of my wife. They help her with personal things and encourage her to join daily activities. She likes the food. They also help her with medicine. I think this community is a good choice.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
When I first went to this place, I felt mixed. I saw a few employees talking and eating at the front desk. They did ask how they could help me and got my tour guide, but then went back to chatting. We took the elevator to the Assisted Living floor. When we got out, there were about 10 residents in the hallway, some in chairs or wheelchairs, looking a bit out of it. I asked if they were there because they had to be or wanted to be. They said they like to sit there and see who comes off the elevator. I also noticed a smell of pee and mentioned it to my tour guide. They said it's hard to completely get rid of it. The rooms and furniture were kind of plain but okay. I met the physical therapist who was really nice. It's good that they have both occupational and physical therapy on-site.
