"Assisted Living Facility: Staff Turnover and Cost Concerns"
Her legs are dry due to lack of lotion, staff turnover is frequent. Therapy ceased due to memory loss, unlike at home where therapists guided her directly. Costs rose significantly in a year. Regular visits and communication with staff are crucial; don't hesitate to voice concerns as you're paying for their service. Clothes frequently go missing.

"Horrible Care and Neglect at Assisted Living Facility"
This place said Mom was perfect for assisted living and promised to help. But once she was in, they treated her so badly. One nurse was really mean to her. When I told someone about it, they didn't care. Everyone who lives there stays in their rooms and the place feels really weird. It's like the workers are hiding something. Whenever I came to see mom, they used to give me mean looks. That was so awkward. My mom could have gone to another place but I picked this one. I wish I hadn't. They promised their staff could handle everything, so I paid them. Turns out that's all they cared about. My mom didn't even start rehab until three weeks after she moved in. Within a month, she had to go to the hospital because she was worse than when she started. This place was a total nightmare.

"Mixed Feelings About The Haven and The Laurels"
My family member has been living at The Haven and The Laurels in the Village at Carolina Place for a long time. The people who work there are very friendly and the care they provide is really good. The place is mostly clean and they offer some nice activities. It’s also a good value for the money. But there have been a lot of changes in management since my family member moved in. The staff who directly take care of the residents are amazing. The new office managers just started, so it’s hard to say how good they’ll be. But they are slow at answering questions and fixing problems.

"Subpar patient care and meals make this assisted living facility a no-go."
We had a really bad experience here and had to take my family member out after just 10 days. Only a couple of employees seemed to really care for the people living there while others were unkind, impolite, or paid no attention to them. I'd never recommend this place to anyone. The nurses were the worst - if I could give them a zero, I would. Patient care was missing any actual care. Their food was usually awful, too salty and not freshly made. They got their meals from somewhere else and they often weren't even hot. I had to bring food for my family member myself. They had activities but they seemed too childish for adults. This place isn't worth it.

"Assisted Living Review"
When you visit, they make this place seem great! But after moving in, everything changes. We were told many things that didn't hold true. They pressured us to move our loved one to a more expensive building without our presence during the assessment. If I had more time, I would've asked for different medications, which would've been better. The staff turnover is high, and they're often busy chatting and eating. A few staff members are helpful, but most aren't. I'm considering other options, although my loved one is content in memory care. The food is okay, and there's not much to do besides bingo.

"Mixed experience in assisted living with staff shortages and cleanliness issues"
The turnover rate is high, causing staff shortages. Bathrooms have had water puddles three times. After explaining, maintenance helped. Most staff are helpful, polite, and clean. She seems content but struggles to communicate clearly. She eats well but needs more engagement. Staff shortages mean residents lack support for activities like bingo. She enjoys outings but wishes for better value for cost.

"Great quality and cleanliness at a good price"
LOVE LOVE LOVE The Haven and The Laurels. The quality here is way better than other places in the same price range. Anything nicer would cost almost $3000 more each month. I totally recommend this place, especially because it's super clean and the nursing staff is great.

"Great tour, odd room layout, loved the staff"
We had a great tour at The Lauren and The Haven. The facility was really nice, but the rooms in memory care didn't have closets, which I found odd. Other than that, it seemed like a great place, and we loved the staff!

"Unacceptable Care and Safety Risks at Assisted Living Facility"
I moved my family member out of this place after they were threatened by an employee there. I was later told that I had to pay for round-the-clock care on top of what the assisted living place was already providing. I stayed there most of the day, for a while, and it was shocking what I witnessed. The nursing staff was lacking in skills, the meals were practically un-eatable. They were seriously short-handed when it comes to staff. At night, there was only one employee present for 19 residents. This is NOT a secure place for your family.

"Assisted Living Gem: Safe, Supportive, and Highly Recommended"
We chose The Laurels & The Haven for its welcoming atmosphere and safety features. Residents enjoy ample space in a group setting resembling a supportive family. The staff and med techs, though sometimes stretched thin, provide wonderful care. Highly recommended for those seeking compassionate assisted living.

"Nice place, but too big and pricey"
I liked the place. It was really nice, clean, and modern. It was one of our top choices. But they couldn't adjust the price for us. Also, it was a bigger community than we wanted for our loved one.
