"Limited Care Oversight, Strict Feeding Policies in Assisted Living"
Our parent enjoyed independent living for over 10 years, but when they had a fall during Covid, they had to move to Assisted Living. While the services and management in independent living were good, we weren't as happy with the care in Assisted Living. The staff there were very strict about how they provided care, especially when it came to feeding they insisted it had to happen in the dining room. Towards the end of our time there, as we were looking for a place with more comprehensive care, we noticed our parent spending too much time in their chair without assistance. If your loved one's needs change in Assisted Living, be aware that the services might not be as flexible as you'd expect.

"Mixed Experience at Woodland Terrace"
In August 2023, my wife and I (both 83 years old) moved into Woodland Terrace Independent Living. We really liked the apartment layout, especially the kitchen with its appliances and the nearby clothes dryers. The bedroom was good for our adjustable beds. However, the food service has been a challenge. My wife needs a Gluten Free diet, and I need Sugar Free options. Since they can’t consistently meet our dietary needs, we have to shop at a local store. On the bright side, Housekeeping and Engineering are quick to help, and the Administrative Staff keeps us informed about activities. Residents can also join educational or recreational events. ”

"Caring and Cozy Memory Care Facility"
My mom has been at Woodland Terrace for 14 months, and we have mostly liked it. We've tried 3 other memory care places, and this one is the best! When you walk in, it feels warm. Everyone is friendly, and the place feels cozy. I like how the rooms are around a common area, not down a hospital-like hallway. There's a new chef, and now the food tastes better, so Mom eats more. Her plate is so clean now! Before, we weren't always happy with some caregivers, but now there seem to be more staff, and they are caring and easy to talk to. There are also more activities on weekends! Our only problem is with laundry. Mom sometimes puts away dirty clothes because of her dementia, and it's been hard to find someone to check on that. Overall, we are very happy that Mom is there!

"Friendly Staff, Limited Space"
The staff at Woodland Terrace were really friendly and helpful. We liked the apartment, but they didn’t have space in the assisted living area.
