"Dated Facility with Few Good Staff and Poor Food"
The common areas look old and need fixing up. The apartments are nice, and a few of the staff are wonderful. It feels more like a nursing home than an assisted living place. It worked as a temporary solution for my parents when I had to move them quickly, but if I had more time to look, I would have chosen a place where they could be happier, more fulfilled, and enjoy good food and caring staff. Some staff are amazing, but they are rare. There’s a lot of turnover, which is common after COVID, and many traveling staff just do the minimum. A trip to the Dollar Store isn’t very exciting, and some events feel childish. My dad said, “We’re not babies, just old.” My parents might need a little encouragement to join activities, but they felt like they were being nagged. The facility didn’t ask what my parents liked to do when they moved in, so they didn’t create activities based on their interests. They serve three meals a day, but the food isn’t good. There’s not much protein, mostly cold cuts and salads. There are two choices for lunch and dinner, and breakfast is open-style. The food is very “institutional,” not like home-cooked meals. It has no flavor, is very dry, and overcooked.

"Great staff, but food and activities need improvement"
The staff are great, but they seem short-staffed. My parents don't like the food, and there aren't many activities.

"Good Activities, Missing Speech Therapy - Bentley Commons Review"
Bentley Commons is a really friendly and active place. When we visited, there were lots of things happening. We picked this place mostly because they work with an outside therapy company that does physical, occupational, and speech therapy. But since our family member has been there, they haven't had a speech therapist. We understand that finding enough staff is hard, but that's been the most disappointing part for us.

"Mixed Experience with Bentley Commons Assisted Living Facility"
I picked Bentley Commons mainly because it's close by. My apartment size works well for me, though they offer other sizes too. The food quality varies a lot — sometimes it's great, other times not so much. The facility could use some updates, but overall, I would suggest it to others who are searching.

"Welcoming Assisted Living Facility with Diverse Activities and Support"
The activities were really nice, and it was great to know they have an exercise specialist on staff. When my mom walked in, she thought it felt more like assisted living than independent living. This place actually offers both, with assisted living on the first floor for safety reasons, but it's the most noticeable. This mix has other benefits too, like easy access to medical services. The staff were super friendly and invited us to come back and try some activities or have a meal together.

"Loneliness and Styrofoam Meals: Bentley Commons Review"
Before COVID, this place was great. They followed rules and kept things clean. But now, my mom and other residents struggle with loneliness due to lockdowns. They leave my mom alone for too long because she's in a wheelchair. The meals come in Styrofoam containers. I like the space, but other places let residents socialize more. Bentley Commons needs to be more creative and open up.

"Spacious Living with Bright Dining Common Areas Need Improvement"
I thought the entryway and hallways seemed a bit old and dark, but the dining area was really nice and happy. The one bedroom apartment was super big, with tons of storage in the kitchen and everywhere else. It even had a full size fridge, which was awesome

"Assisted living fell short; promised care not delivered as expected."
I thought Bentley Commons at Bedford would be better. They said a doctor's available all the time, but you have to book, and sometimes you can't. My mom had medicine problems, and I had to step in to fix it. They talk about doing things but don't follow through. I expected more for the price. They said they'd respond when you press a button, but my husband had to go there for small things like the TV. They're supposed to clean well, but it doesn't look like it. Mom wasn't getting showers because she didn't want to, and the staff didn't encourage her. The place looks nice, but the food's repetitive. I don't see people socializing much. Overall, they didn't give what they promised.

""Mixed feelings about this assisted living place""
The grub here tastes awful, just like hospital meals. The folks working here are really nice, but boy, they sure don't stick around for long. But hey, the rooms are plenty spacious! In some crazy way, the higher-ups keep things running... not sure how, yet they do.

"Comfortable and friendly assisted living with room for improvement"
So far, everything's okay. Not many join in activities, but my relative does. If you want to join, there's plenty to do. The food's good. I wish I knew more about medical and financial matters. The medical setup is a bit confusing. It'd be nice to get notices about new services. It's clean, friendly, and staff knows everyone. They're understanding towards those with Alzheimer's. No judgment here. Hope she can stay until the end.

"Warm Welcome"
Mom's first day at Bentley filled with helpful greetings and support. Mom's first day at Bentley was really nice. Lots of people said hi to her and helped her figure out where everything is. Someone took her to lunch and dinner, another person showed her where to get her mail, and someone else even helped her join activities. Everyone there, the workers and the people who live there, were all really nice and made her feel welcome.

"Warm and caring staff; arranged dialysis transportation for resident."
The people who work here are super nice and really look after the folks living here. My dad needs to go for dialysis three times a week, and they were able to set up transportation for him without any trouble. It's a relief to know he's in good hands.

"Dad to decide, nurses on each floor. Recommend for sure."
We toured it and thought it was good. There are nurses on every floor. Dad will choose if he wants to visit. I think it's a good place and would suggest it.

"A Beautiful Assisted Living Facility with Excellent Amenities"
Bentley Commons is really nice. I give it an A+ for being super clean, and everyone who works there is really friendly, even the ones we bumped into in the hallway. The dining area is really clean too, and they offer a lot of great meal choices. The one and two bedroom apartments we looked at were really big, and so was the companion apartment. The studio was a little small though. The grounds are really pretty, and they have awesome activities planned every day, plus they put up notices all around the halls.
