"Positive Experience with Assisted Living Facility"
Our family had a great experience with the assisted living facility where they stayed. Things in life shifted, so we had to bring him home, but if things change again, we'd bring him back there. What we really liked were the atmosphere, the staff, and the food; they were very helpful and friendly. really enjoyed his time there. We just wish assisted living wasn't so pricey.

"Refund Woes and Poor Communication at Assisted Living"
We'd rate everything a 4, except their parent company. Dad left in March, and they still owe us a refund. Their communication is terrible.

"Good Value with Some Room for Improvement"
We picked Langdon Place of Dover because it has doctors nearby and is close to family. The building is old, but they've fixed up some parts. Overall, it's a decent place and worth the cost. They need to get better at talking to families when doctors come by. If it suits your loved one, I'd say go for it.

"Unfriendly Care and Ignored Concerns at Facility"
I didn't feel welcomed at this place and folks were pretty unfriendly. They completely ignored my concerns.

"Memory care recommended but needs more staff for individual care."
I would suggest this place if your family member needs help with memory. Right now, they seem to have fewer workers than they need. It would be better if each person with memory issues got more personal attention.

" "Langdon Place: Distressing Stay, Ignored Patients, and Exorbitant Pricing""
A recent stay at Langdon Place was a nightmare for my friend who had just undergone hip surgery. Sadly, I can't recommend this place - not to her, not to anyone I know. Many times, patients could be heard pleading for help and for their overdue medicine, only to be ignored by the staff. An unsettling first night involved a crying, threats-making roommate, leading to a room change that turned out just as bad. The new room offered no bottom sheet, leaving my friend, with only a few days since her surgery, to improvise with no help from the staff. The quality of meals was also unacceptable. Without a choice of menu, residents consumed whatever was offered. Lukewarm drinks, underwhelming breakfasts, or a five-piece sausage serving after complaints, were all part of the experience. A scoop of macaroni and cheese paired with watery stewed tomatoes was a revolting dinner. To top it all, the nurse call unit was hidden in unreachable drawers. Then came the departure day - the friend who came to collect my friend from Langdon Place found no staff to notify about the discharge, a situation which posed a massive safety concern. Two nights' stay in such conditions came at an exorbitant cost of $12,000.

"Mom Feels At Home and Well Cared For at Langdon Place"
My mom moved to Langdon Place a year and a half ago. The whole process of getting her moved in and settled went really well. Her room and the common areas are clean and modern, and she’s made friends with both the other residents and the staff. Knowing she’s well taken care of has really comforted her four children. She feels settled in and thinks of Langdon Place as her home now. Thanks!

"Great Choice with Kind Friends and Supportive Staff"
We have lived here for over a year and know we made a great choice. We live in a big apartment and can take care of ourselves, but the nursing staff is very close if we need them. We have made many kind and friendly friends. The staff is efficient and willing to listen! It has been more than just a good experience, and we are grateful! and

"Assisted Living Facility Neglects Patient and Lacks Urgency."
My dad was moved to this place for recovery. As soon as he arrived, I had to hunt down someone to give him his medicines and set up his medical equipment. To top it all off, they didn't even feed him dinner. We had to leave and buy him food. Whenever he needed a nurse, they were always hanging out and chatting. They'd tell us they'd be right with him, but it would take them a whole hour and a half to respond and then behave as if it was a big favour they were doing.
