"Limited Support, Mixed Staff, No Medical Assistance, Not True Assisted Care"

Langdon Place has lovely residents and great workers. However, the nursing staff isn't consistent and isn't interested in seeking outside help. Medical transportation is only available on Thursdays by appointment, which practically means never. If you're counting on the nurses to schedule appointments or call the doctor, forget it. If you can closely monitor your loved one and take them to appointments yourself, Langdon Place might be okay. But it's not true assisted care. They don't provide wheelchairs or scooters; it's walk or leave. Consider this as your loved one continues to age. Langdon Place seems more like a budget stop along the way than a true assisted living facility.

"Know the real deal: Limited care and support at Langdon Place"

The people living here are great, as are the staff. However, the nursing group is inconsistent and doesn't seek outside assistance. The only medical transportation they provide is on Thursdays by appointment, which means there isn't any. Don't count on the nurses to schedule medical appointments or contact the doctor for you. If you can closely monitor your family members and take them to their appointments, then Langdon Place will work for you. But be aware, that this is not an assisted living facility. They don't allow wheelchairs or scooters. If you can't walk, you can't stay. As your loved one gets older, you should keep that in mind. This place is simply an affordable rest stop along the journey.

"Informative Staff, Spacious Rooms, but Dated Atmosphere"

The staff provided helpful information, and the rooms were spacious. However, some areas felt a bit dated and dark.

"Challenging Evacuation for My Mother-in-Law"

This place didn't work for us because residents need to be able to leave the building on their own. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law can't do that.

"Mom Settled and Happy at Langdon Place Assisted Living"

Mom's been at Langdon Place for two months now. The staff helped her get comfortable. We like that they personally invite her to join activities. They also think about who she'd enjoy eating with and plan the dining room seating. Mom really likes Nancy, the Marketing coordinator. Mom drops by to talk to her about concerns during the day, and Nancy is always friendly and helpful. The nurses and other staff are also very caring. So far, everything is going very well.

"She's content in a well-maintained place."

I can't comment on care services or activities, but she's content.

"Assisted Living Gem with Friendly Atmosphere and Ideal Location"

The facility was really nice and great. Everyone there was friendly and always willing to help each other. The location was the main reason we chose this place. There's no need to consider anywhere else.

"Caring and helpful staff make this place great."

This place does a good job overall. All the staff are friendly and professional, and they really pay attention to what the residents need. The people who take care of things are always there to help, and even the folks who fix stuff are really quick about it. They're happy to come out and help the residents with things like their TV remotes.

"Disappointed - promised good care, delivered poor service"

We were hoping mom would receive great care for the money we paid, but every visit is upsetting. The place is unorganized, lacking leadership and poor at communicating updates to us. There's a disconnect between what the director promises and the actual daily happenings. It's a letdown.

"Mom is Thriving at Langdon Place of Exeter"

The people at Langdon Place of Exeter are very helpful and friendly. My mom has only been at Langdon Place (LP) for a month, but she is already happy with her new home. My siblings and I were worried she wouldn't be happy leaving her home of 60+ years, but her Alzheimer's diagnosis and living alone made it necessary. We were impressed with the Memory Care Unit for the future, but for now, Mom is enjoying Assisted Living at Langdon Place. It was great that Mom could bring a lot of her furniture from home. Everyone at LP helped with the move and made her new apartment cozy and inviting, included her in activities, and introduced her to her new neighbors. It's wonderful to see Mom socializing again! The common areas of LP are beautiful. We look forward to joining the activities they offer and seeing the grounds without snow. It’s a relief knowing help is always available and that caring people check on her regularly. We have received excellent service at LP.

"Friendly Staff, Dim Setting"

The staff was friendly, but the place felt old and dim. The director was quite pleasant.
