"Slow transition, adequate care, nice amenities. Needs improvement."
The move-in process took longer than expected to make sure everything was set up correctly. I think they didn't understand how much care he really needed. It's improving, but it's taking time to figure out exactly what he needs. The place is really nice though, with plenty of things to do, and the apartments are a good size.

"Awful Assisted Living Facility Violates Rights, Gives Lousy Care"
My friend's stuck at this care home. They snatched her phone, so she couldn't complain about the awful care she received. This is crossing a line with resident rights. The food's bad, and some staff members are not kind. I've seen firsthand how lousy the care is. I don't think anyone should be there.

"Assisted living good, memory care needs improvement."
There are different parts of this community. My loved one was in assisted living and memory care. The assisted living is better than the memory care. The assisted living provides better service. Memory care is harder for the staff, but they are good. However, the staff is overworked and there aren't enough of them. I was unhappy with my loved one's supervision. My loved one had sepsis while there. There were questions about where they should be placed. The Head Nurse wanted him back in his private room because of memory care and medical issues, even though he couldn't walk. The memory care unit felt like an asylum. I understand it's very hard and expensive to care for these residents. I couldn't let my loved one go back there, so I chose hospice instead. The staff were friendly and nice. I really liked the staff and nurses, but not the Head Nurse. She didn't have empathy and tried to put him in a room without a bed after moving him from Assisted Living to Memory Care. Someone from Assisted Living found a bed and got him settled. This experience affected my opinion of the memory care and medical unit. The director who handled finances was very helpful and nice.

"Attentive Care and Collaborative Staff Ensure Safe Environment for Residents"
My mom stayed at Atrium Assisted Living for four and a half years. When she first arrived, she used a cane, but she could still manage daily tasks like feeding herself and taking showers, as well as participating in activities. Over time, the nursing staff regularly assessed the residents' needs and adjusted their care accordingly, following state regulations. Overall, the Atrium staff were attentive, and they organized residents and family council meetings that kept me well informed about my mom's care. She received the care she deserved. Now, my mom resides in the south side of the nursing home on level 3, where the nursing staff provide higher levels of care around the clock. From the dietitian to the social worker, and from housekeeping to security, everyone works together as a team to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for all residents. I commend the nursing staff on the south side for their dedication across all shifts.
