"Unhappy with residential facility's forced care plans and price hikes."
My mom lives in this place called The Residence at Stafford, which is an assisted living center. She doesn't have memory problems, but she had to leave her house and most of her stuff to move there. This place says people can do what they want, but it's not true! They have these "care plans" and everyone HAS to follow them. If they don't, they're told to leave. They also use this to make things cost more, if someone needs help that's not in their "plan". My mom came here to get a little help when SHE needed it, not to deal with their super strict rules.

"Great Staff and Tasty Scones!"
We appreciated the knowledgeable administrator and the typical-sized rooms. The culinary department impressed us with phenomenal scones.

"Personalized Care and Activities, Room Size a Concern"
We chose Atria Stafford mainly because of [name removed], the activities director. She knew my dad, so we had a personal connection. She was really nice and cared a lot for my mom. When we brought my mom there, she enjoyed playing the piano. The rooms were kind of small, though. My mom shared a room with another lady. One issue we had was that we think she wasn't getting her medicine from the nurses because we kept finding it all over her room. Sometimes when we visited her, she didn't look well-groomed.

"Great Staff Helped Us Decide to Move Dad"
My wife and I visited the facility to talk with the manager. I told them that my father is at Atria in Cranford, NJ, and we recently bought a new home in Waretown. We wanted to see if we could move him here. They showed us the whole place and the available rooms, which made our decision easier. The staff was great and very helpful.

"Pleasant Assisted Living Experience"
This place was really nice. They answered my questions and gave me a lot of information. I liked what I saw when I walked through the halls and looked at the sample rooms. It was bigger than I expected, but it felt cozy and welcoming. Christina was easy to talk to.

"STILL ASSESSING"
The transition from extended care to assisted living went smoothly during the first week, despite some miscommunications. The staff was accommodating, friendly, and attentive. However, the promised call bell response within 4 minutes never happened. After a shower, my mother was left in bed without her call bell, forcing her to crawl out for help. The call response time consistently took 20 minutes to half an hour. If they address this issue, it could be a great place!

"Clean, Friendly Assisted Living: Considered for Loved One"
I visited this place while searching for care for a family member. It looked nice and tidy, and the staff I talked to were nice and seemed to know what they were doing. We chose another place that seemed a bit better suited, but this one was still on our list.
