"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My family and our loved one had an okay time there. The people who take care of the residents are nice. But, we've had issues with the folks who work in the office. They haven't been honest and don't do things the right way when they raise the rent. They do provide meals and activities to help the residents socialize.

"Friendly Place, Needs Better Laundry & Care"
The folks here are super nice and make you feel at home. They’ve got lots of cool art stuff and fun things to do all the time. The place looks great, really clean, and the outside is pretty too. I get my mom’s clothes washed here. But they gotta be more careful, 'cause a lot of her clothes get messed up or too small. The care they give isn’t really great. I’ve tried to get someone to call me back and answer my questions, but no luck for days. I end up having to go to the people at the front desk for help. All in all, it’s an okay place.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
When we talked to our loved one, they weren't happy with the food, saying it's pretty terrible. Despite COVID restrictions, they're still doing small activities as much as possible.

"Caring Staff and Engaging Activities Make Residents Feel Supported"
The people who work here are really nice and helpful. The person who plans the activities is full of energy. Whenever I have questions or worries about my family member, they answer them right away. It feels like they truly care about the people who live here.

"Assisted Living Delivers Comfort and Family-Like Care"
The activities coordinator, [name removed], is amazing. He gets residents involved and active. Initially resistant, my loved one grew to adore the community. She made friends and felt like family with the staff. The manager provided exceptional care and information. Though chefs changed, they accommodated medical needs with hot meals. The community managed prescriptions and provided onsite medical care. During our loved one's passing, the community offered immense support. Hospice coordinated seamlessly with the community's medical team.

"Friendly, Clean Assisted Living with Great Activities!"
We picked this community because it’s close to where he used to live. When you walk in, it looks nice and clean, not like a hospital. The staff is super friendly. The room sizes are great, and the bathroom is wheelchair-friendly. The food was delicious during our Christmas dinner. They have fun activities like memory games, light exercise, music, movies, and arts and crafts. Plus, they take residents out for movies or lunches in the community. Our favorite part? The staff is always available when we need to talk.

"Impressive tour and food, considering for father-in-law's residence."
We got approved really quickly, and showed us around the place. They even gave us some food to take home, which was nice. My father-in-law liked the place and thought the food was really good. We're still thinking about it.

"Starting Off Rough"
My dad had a tough beginning here, but the staff has been really helpful during his transition. They're attentive and friendly. Dad's room is nice, and we've brought in some of his own furniture to make it feel more like home. They offer lots of activities for residents, and I'd suggest taking a tour to see this community.

"Great care and staff; Mom's happy and active!"
The care my mother has received here has been excellent. The staff are always paying attention to her needs and have done everything they can to make her feel welcome and comfortable. She hasn't had any problems with the food and is even joining in some of the activities they offer each week.

The staff are really helpful and clearly explained the services. They encourage mom to join in some daily activities and even offer trips to the store. She loves the food, and the community is clean and well-kept. I would definitely recommend this place.

"Great staff and food, but some safety concerns"
I am writing this for my 85-year-old mother. We were welcomed very graciously. My mother is very happy with most of the staff. She absolutely loves the meals—the quality, quantity, and variety. Our biggest issue is Brookdale's new resident "button" system. It has failed four times since she moved in earlier this April. We've been told staff has three to twenty minutes to respond once activated. Being stranded at the dining table after a meal is one thing; being stranded on the bathroom floor at night is another. Many of the staff are clearly in the right field—they are sincere, caring, and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, there are some bad apples. Her secured room has been broken into while she was in the dining room. As happy and content as she is, these two issues have left her and the rest of the family feeling uneasy.

"Mixed experience with good amenities at Brookdale Voorhees assisted living."
Brookdale Voorhees is pretty nice. The lobby and dining area are big and welcoming. The food is tasty, and the staff is friendly and nice. But sometimes, they're not fully on the same page about taking care of people. My mom's doctor told her to keep a medicine in her room. But the facility prefers to handle meds themselves. They want her to ask for it when she needs it. We had to remind them about it, even after the doctor said so. The food is good, and they offer choices. They're also really flexible and will make something special if you ask. The chef is great! Overall, it's a good experience. But remember, no place is perfect.

"Cozy, Friendly, and Affordable Assisted Living at Brookdale Voorhees"
We picked Brookdale Voorhees mainly because it's not too big. Just two floors, feels like a home, not a store. With only 80 people, everyone knows each other, feels like family. People are nice, always ready to help. The price they told us was good compared to others. But, the final bill depends on how much help your loved one needs. A nurse will figure it out after checking them. Visitors can come almost anytime, just sign in. Mom's been there about a week and a half, all good so far. They want her to stay active, which we like. We'd tell others to check out Brookdale Voorhees. Thanks!

"Experiences Mixed During Short Stay at Assisted Living Facility"
I can't say too much about this place due to circumstances. It's a clean spot and everything's neat. The food was okay, nothing special. We liked the people who worked there - they were all friendly and told us they would look after my mom really well. But, my mom sadly passed after just five days living there, from Sunday to Thursday. When I went to see her, most of the time she was either sitting alone near the fire, or trying to eat with other folks but not really talking to anyone. She had issues with her hearing aids and her eyesight wasn't the best, which made her really upset and kind of depressed. She also said she was hurting a lot at night and not getting much attention, even though the staff didn't agree. From what I saw, they only had one helper and a nurse for the nights. One time, we found my mom sitting up on her bed and her leg was bleeding from some metal piece on the hospital bed. It stained the rug. Not sure how long she was stuck like that before someone came to check on her.

"Considered for Mom, chose elsewhere. Nice community, friendly staff."
We looked at a few Emeritus places when we were figuring out what to do for Mom. Even though we didn't pick this one, it seemed like a nice place. When we checked it out, everything seemed nice. But we ended up picking another place because it was easier for our family to get to, and the people there were really nice to us.

"Friendly and Accessible Staff"
They have lots of activities for residents who want to join in. What really impressed me is how clean the place is, with no bad smells. It feels more like a cozy home than an institution. The staff is very easy to reach, which makes us feel better.

"Informative staff; unclear pricing communication."
I liked meeting a lot of the workers at Summerville. However, the boss didn't tell me how much everything would cost, and I had to call to find out.
