"Poor Communication and Turnover Affecting Resident Care"
My mom moved here in October. We've had 3 administrators. Lots of staff changes make it tough. They don't tell us things - like stopping my mom's PT. Mom's upset. We visited once and couldn't come back because of the pandemic. It's not working for us.

"New facility with mixed cleanliness and care; disappointing experience."
The place looked new and shiny, but they had a bunch of people sick with COVID, so it was confusing why it seemed clean. Some of the workers were nice, but not always. On the first night, our family member fell out of bed, which never happened before. The nurse and assistant called us in the morning, saying they might not be able to take care of our loved one anymore. We were really surprised and let down.

"Friendly staff and fun activities at Atria Waldwick!"
We picked Atria because it’s new and close to our home. It’s convenient. We thought my brother wouldn’t feel like the new kid since everyone else is new too. His studio is a good size, and the rooms are beautiful. The food is tasty and served like in a restaurant. The best part? The staff interacts a lot with the residents. Before COVID, they even organized trips and fun activities.

"Disorganized Facility Provides Misleading Info, Changes Policy last-minute"
The management at this assisted living facility is highly disorganized. It may be since they are a newly established facility. But, they've shared misleading information. We were initially informed that my father would be allowed to take his own medications, provided he had a clearance letter from his doctor, with my sister, a Registered Nurse, preparing his medication. We managed to get this letter with ease. However, less than three weeks before my father was to move in, they changed their policy and our father could no longer self-administer his medication. This change was going to cost us an additional $630. While this rate is standard, we chose this facility due to its overall cost, given my father's fixed income. I would recommend keeping away from this place for a year or two until they sort out their issues.

"Expensive, impressive, unsuitable."
Atria's impressive but pricey. Not suitable for immediate increased care.
