"Consistent Improvements and Caring Staff Provide Comfortable Living Environment"
Since new management took over, things have gotten better at the assisted living place where my mom has lived for over 2 years. She's still happy and comfortable here. The staff, caregivers, and nurses know what they're doing, and they're friendly and helpful. There are activities and chances to socialize throughout the week. The food is really good at special events. No place is perfect when you're taking care of an older loved one, but here, my mom has a better life. Our family is thankful for the care and peace of mind they give us every day.

"Dishonest Sales, Inadequate Care Lead to Tragic Outcome"
The sales rep will probably tell you anything to get your loved one to stay at this place. She promised my dad would have a room with a garden view, but instead, he faced the front parking lot with blinding sunlight. Despite her claims that they don't quarantine and only do testing, my father found himself once again quarantined, even after just going through the same ordeal at a dreadfully worse facility. Both these places contributed greatly to him eventual passing away and this one. My dad was hardly 90 pounds when he passed, and I deeply regret neglecting to call the hospital that final day. They promised nursing aids, doctors, and every care possible, so I didn't call 911. I'm advising everyone to avoid this place - don't believe their false promises. I feel they are overly focused on profits, approving my father for assisted living even though he could hardly walk. His health went downhill rapidly after his admission here - what he needed was nursing care. He hardly received any care. We tried to arrange home health care in an attempt to rectify things, but what truly scares me is that I think he essentially starved to death with no nearby nurse. What a calamity!

"Not Happy with Facility, Look Elsewhere"
We've been really unhappy with this place for many reasons. I suggest checking out other options.

"Struggling to Retrieve Deposit from Disappointing Facility"
We've visited a bunch of spots and they all had nasty comments about this place. We've spoken to several folks who had a lousy time here. It seems to me they can't keep their everyday caregivers for long. They didn't deliver on what they initially promised us and now we're struggling to get our deposit back. They're making us jump through hoops and I seriously doubt we're seeing that money again.

"Staff are caring but discrepancies in promised vs actual services."
We really like the people who work there. They're really friendly and take good care of our family member. However, there were some differences between what we were told by the people who do the advertising and what actually happened after our family member moved in.

"Helpful Staff, Nice Facility, Too Far for Family Member"
The managing director, who leads assisted living, knew a lot and helped us a bunch. The assisted living part seems nice, but it's too far for our family member.

"Promised Care Costs Skyrocket due to Mismanagement"
My family member initially seemed happy here, but the situation fell apart quickly. They told me the cost would be a certain amount, but then they charged me much more. The people in charge of money at Atrium can't keep things straight and they change staff all the time. Be sure to get everything in writing, because they can't be trusted.

"Poor Customer Service Deters Assisted Living Placement"
I tried several times to contact this facility about the possibility of my mom living there. I'm looking for a good place where she can stay for a short-term stay, but maybe become a long-term resident. But every time I reach out to the facility, they've been unhelpful. I organized a tour through A Place for Mom, but the facility never confirmed it. After calling and getting transferred to voicemail that was full, I got sent back to the front desk where I was put on hold for seven minutes and then hung up on. The front desk person promised to give a hand-written note to the right person, but I never heard back. The final time I called, I was told to call back later because she was on her lunch break! The way they are handling this has made me decide not to place my mom there. If this is how they treat people who are thinking about moving in, I worry about how they would treat someone who actually lives there. I hope they'll be more respectful to others in the future.

"Poor Communication and Lack of Respect at Assisted Living Home"
I tried many times to connect with them about my mom moving into their assisted living home. I'm doing all I can to find a good place for her to stay for a short time, before maybe moving in full-time. Right now, she's at Atrium at Hamilton and is doing really well there. I had planned a visit through a website called A Place for Mom, but the home never confirmed it. I called, got sent to the person in charge's voicemail, which was full, and got sent back to the front office where I was kept waiting for over seven minutes, then the call ended. When I called again, the front office person told me they would give her a note from me, but she never got back to me. When I tried once more, someone told me she was at lunch, and that I needed to call back after 1:30. I just want everyone to know this is why I won't be choosing this place for my mom. If they're treating me this way when I'm just checking the place out, I worry about how they'd treat people who actually live there. I hope they'll be nicer to folks looking to move in, and their families, in the future.

"Deeply Disappointing Experience At Assisted Living Facility"
My mom lives there and it's been a terrible time, so bad that we're pulling her out. The workers don't provide the help they should. They leave her alone and don't assist her when she needs to use the restroom, telling her to just use her diaper. The facility is dirty and the food is so unpleasant that my mom's weight has dropped to 94 pounds. I'm scared of other elderly parents who are left here without someone to fight for them. If it weren't for my regular complaints and raising of issues, things would be even worse for my mom. They just don't have enough staff to provide proper help, and their promises of excellent care are all false. We’re relieved we're able to move her out.

"Friendly and Encouraging Staff!"
My loved one hasn’t been here long, but things are going really well at The Pavilions! They let him have more control over his life compared to his previous community, while still giving him the care he needs. He’s happier and more fulfilled here. The staff is super friendly, and they do a great job telling residents about activities and encouraging participation. The whole place feels relaxed and welcoming.

"Top-notch assisted living: caring staff, calm atmosphere, grateful family!"
My dad tried 3 other places, but this one's the best! Thanks, A Place for Mom! The boss is great, the workers are friendly and helpful. It feels peaceful here, and the staff gives lots of support.

"Satisfied with The Pavilion's Assisted Living"
My folks are new here and they're liking it. The workers are nice, and it's super clean. It's pretty pricey, but that seems normal. One thing bothering my folks is not having enough privacy. Staff comes in without knocking, but I guess it's because of the care they give.

"Friendly Director and Mixed Facility Experience, Overall Positive"
The Director was really nice and showed me around willingly. He said, "I have nothing to hide." The part for long-term care, which we might need, had a strong urine smell. But to be fair, a cleaner was working on the rooms. The assisted living part, which I thought we wouldn't need, seemed like a good fit for my mom.
