Ave Care at Newton

"Mom is happy, safe, and well cared for."
My mom seems happy and well cared for at Ave Care. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly. Even though my mom has dementia, she says the staff is nice, and she would know if she wasn't being treated well. I don't get the feeling that she's unhappy. It's been an adjustment for all of us, but I believe she's in a safe place that meets her needs.

"Caring staff and homelike environment, but lacking some services"
My mom has been at Ave Care for a little over a month. The place is friendly, bright, and feels like home. The owner is often around and has shared her concerns about my mom's behavior issues. Although my mom is very forgetful, she is still active and bright. Many other residents are further along in their conditions and less interactive. I wish there were more activities for my mom. Some services, like the hairdresser, are no longer available, which would have been a big help and something my mom enjoyed. Overall, the staff seem caring, and meals are prepared in an open kitchen. I believe she’s getting better care here than in a larger facility. I would recommend Ave Care.

"Great small care home with caring staff and clean facilities"
Ave Care at Newton is really clean. The food gets a B grade from me; my wife likes it, but it seems a bit starchy. This care home is for people with Dementia and Alzheimer's. The staff and owners genuinely care about the residents. It's close by, so our friends can visit easily. This is a small care home, and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.
