"A Great Choice"
We really appreciate the friendly staff, lovely surroundings, and on-site medical care at Bear Creek Assisted Living. We'd definitely recommend it to other families based on our positive experience.

"Great Place for Parents Needing Minimal Care; Wish We Moved Sooner"
This place is really nice for my parent because they don't need much help. I wish we had chosen this place a long time ago. We picked it because they could take care of both my parents and it's near where I live.

"Reliable Care with Engaging Activities, Some Staffing Challenges"
The people who work here are really caring, especially the more experienced staff. They always help out when something urgent happens. There are lots of fun things for the older folks to do here. The main problem is that sometimes staff leave and there aren’t enough people working, especially on weekends. This causes a few issues sometimes.

"Mixed Feelings About Memory Care Unit"
We really enjoyed the community, but the memory care unit felt a bit gloomy and lacked the activities we wanted for our loved one.

Our family visited in person and this was one of our top choices. The tour experience was really pleasant.

"Spacious Rooms, Tasty Food, Limited Medical Support"
This place has big rooms and they're really private. Our family member liked the food they give out. We'd say it's good for assisted living, but not if someone's really sick.

"Great care and safety, but activities and costs could improve"
The housekeeping team at Bear Creek comes every day to clean, and my loved one is very happy with it. The caregiving staff is very helpful and caring. The cost is a bit high, but the care is good. The staff takes good care of the residents, though they have some issues organizing services like physical therapy. Before Covid-19, there were lots of activities for the residents. During the Covid-19 lockdown, the community did a good job keeping residents safe by bringing food to their rooms and providing activities like books to read.

"Supportive Staff and Convenient Location"
I found it tough for my 93-year-old father to adjust. The salesperson was excellent, making the decision easy. The location near my house sealed the deal. My advice: stay proactive and advocate for your family member. The staff were cooperative and responsive.

"Assisted Living Community Suits Some, But Not All"
This community is nice and fairly close, but still a bit further than I'd prefer. It's more for assisted living, lacking full kitchens, which doesn't fit my mother's needs.

"Facility Requires Recent Leadership and ED"
This place really needs to update its nursing leadership and get a fresh Executive Director.

"Hectic Holidays: Reality of Assisted Living Facility Unveiled"
We went to this assisted living facility over the extended weekend. We were there from Friday through Monday. The staff was thin on the ground. We took a long ride to meet the Nursing Director because we had serious concerns about the care my Mom was receiving. My mom's meds were not given on time even when she was in pain. It took three hours for her to receive her medication. Once we were told the staff were too busy to cater to her immediately. The nurses can be very rude, as my sister experienced when our mom was almost given a blood thinner the nurse mistook her for another patient. This scares me a lot. Despite several attempts, we haven't been able to get much satisfaction from who seems to always have excuses or downright lies. One day, I decided to be present during medication dispensing hours. I sat in the hall and witnessed how some nurses behaved rudely and did not appear to be sure of what they were doing. They also did not wash their hands or wear gloves while administering eye drops, which is really disturbing. The Nursing Director was too busy to meet me. The staff on Sunday seemed to be more interested in fun than in work—it was chaotic. There was dust accumulation on my mom's furniture, window sill, and refrigerator, which I ended up cleaning. My mom sometimes wets her bed at night, was told by an aide to clean herself because she's not a baby. On Sunday and Monday, I had a chat with some residents' families. They revealed to me that the administration has been deteriorating over the past few years while the compassionate nurses who advocated for the residents' welfare were all let go. I've been visiting for only about a year. I was relieved when the last boss, who was dishonest, was axed. The new guy seems alright but the nursing service is problematic.

"Great Activities and Atmosphere, Some Restrictions"
Visited on Sunday, bustling for Thanksgiving brunch with families. The facility is gorgeous and offers countless activities. It houses 100 residents across three floors, mostly couples in their late 60s. Many staff members have been here since it opened in 2001. I believe this would have been ideal for my mom if she were younger due to the activities, but her Parkinson's limits her. Few downsides: no aging in place unless already in hospice, and restrictions on medical devices and beds, which exclude my mom.

"Improvements Needed in Housekeeping and Nursing Staff at Assisted Living"
The new administrator is a good change, but the housekeeping needs improvement. Some nurses should be replaced.

"Subpar leadership ruins once charming facility, renew former staff."
This once lovely location brimming with warmth and care has now been ruined due to bad leadership. I genuinely feel bad for the residents, their families, and the employees. In 2012, I brought my relative here and have observed a gradual downfall over the previous year. Please return the previous staff!

"Average Review: Decent Care, Needs Improved Communication and Upkeep"
This place is nice but they could really step up the cleaning game. The health care staff could look more professional, despite their care being okay. The head nurse is hard to reach and there's zero info about any changes for my mom - is a simple phone call too hard? The facility's bus could also use an upgrade, a lot of residents have expressed worries.

"Charming Facility With Overworked Staff And Questionable Management"
This assisted living facility is certainly beautiful and it's clear a lot of money was invested into it. There are a lot of fun activities to take part in, and the other residents are friendly. However, some of the nurses are really clueless and impolite. It also seems like the caregivers are stretched too thin. The laundry situation needs some real work. On the upside, the food is surprisingly tasty. I did have an unpleasant encounter with the front desk lady in the morning though. The Director is kind, but he seems like he's struggling in his role due to lack of experience and training. No one can really blame him, he's just a young guy. And as for the Nurse Supervisor, it's obvious she's under a lot of stress and doesn't seem happy to be working there.

"Honest Observations: Some Positives But Many Improvements Needed"
My mom's stay at this assisted living facility was short. I'm a fan of being positive, so I'll start by saying the care assistants showed genuine compassion. The nurses were decent, some showing their inexperience, yet the lead nurse showed great wisdom despite clearly dealing with a lot of stress. The food quality was pretty disappointing. The director, a woman, could be rude. The folks running activities and the other residents were really welcoming, making my mother feel at home. The top boss seemed young, inexperienced, and wasn't very engaging. The cleanliness and decor could definitely be improved to provide a more homey atmosphere, maybe by adding some drapes and pictures. What I really didn't like was the marketer discussing personal details about the other residents, like their health and family situations – she sure talked a lot. All in all, it could be a great place with the right improvements.

"Quality Drops at Assisted Living Center, Think Twice!"
Continuous Neglect: Unclean Rooms, Rude Staff, and Limited Fun" "This assisted living facility has seen quite a few unwelcome changes lately. Rooms aren't being cleaned as often as they used to be. The food is just slightly better than it was before, but not by much. Most of the staff doesn't seem as friendly as they once were, only one still do an excellent job. However, the day nurse tends to be quite rude and gives off a vibe of being unhappy. There's also been a cutback on activities, so the residents don't get to do much nowadays. Overall, the vibe of the place seems a lot more unhappy than it used to.
