"Convenient location and quick availability; spacious private rooms recommended."
We picked Brightview Mount Laurel due to its quick availability and location. My mom has a spacious private room that suits her well. The best thing so far is how convenient it is for our family. I would recommend it.

"Avoid Brightview Greentree for Quality Assisted Living Care"
We moved our mom to Brightview Greentree's assisted living section, but we soon noticed a great lack of assistance. After years there, we had to remove mom because we had to hire independent aids, which bumped up our monthly costs to nearly $15,000, only to receive sub-par care. The in-house washer and dryer on mom's floor was out of service for over six weeks; she was often served cold meals; and it seemed like the aids were always avoiding their duties. There were several changes in directorship, with each new director lacking competency. Our experience taught us a valuable lesson—never judge a facility by its exterior. Ensure that there's adequate supervision for resident care. At this place, no one held responsibility for anything, and the blame was always being passed on when issues occurred. It was supremely disappointing for us as we were only trying to ensure the best care for our mom.

"Great Tour, Distant Location"
We had a great tour and really liked the community. The only downside was the slightly distant location.

"Brightview is the best decision for Memory Care!"
Brightview is a warm and welcoming place with a charming Cape May Victorian-style building. The private rooms are the best I've seen among many facilities. The garden is lovely with a pond and many seating options like rockers, comfy chairs, couches, and tables with umbrellas. The grounds also have ponds and a gazebo. The staff is friendly and makes sure your family member is well taken care of. My husband moved in July and enjoys the bus trips, picnics, lunches, visits to Battleship New Jersey, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and a cruise on the Spirit of Philadelphia! I’m thankful for their care. Choosing Brightview was the best decision for us.

"Beautiful, clean facility; caring staff; great activities; highly recommend."
I recently moved my parents from out-of-state and was lucky to find Brightview nearby. The building and grounds are beautiful—well-maintained, clean, homey, and welcoming. Their apartment is bright, cheerful, and safe. The staff is warm, friendly, and knows everyone by name. There are daily activities, outings, parties, and entertainment, and staff encourages participation. We can even bring the dog to visit, which everyone enjoys. They offer on-site physical and occupational therapy, visits from their primary care provider, and transport for outside appointments. The nursing care and support from the entire Brightview team have been excellent. While no place is perfect, I haven’t found any major issues. Even though we’ve only been here a few months, I’m very pleased and impressed. Brightview was the right choice for us.

"Brightview: A Wonderful Choice for Assisted Living"
I recently moved my parents from out-of-state and was lucky to find Brightview nearby. The building and grounds are beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Their apartment is bright, cheerful, and safe for them to move around. The staff is warm, friendly, and caring, knowing residents and family members by name. There are daily activities, outings, parties, and entertainment, and the staff encourages everyone to join in. We can even bring the dog to visit, which many residents enjoy. More importantly, they get the physical and occupational therapy they need right there. Their primary care provider visits them onsite, and there's transport assistance for outside appointments. The nursing care has been excellent, and the support from the entire Brightview team, including administrators, directors, concierge, and all staff, has been great. While no place is perfect, I've found no issues from my first visit until now. We've only been here a few months, but I'm very pleased and impressed with our experience so far. After looking at multiple options, I felt good about Brightview from the minute I walked in, and I have not been disappointed. Brightview was the right choice for us.

"Great Place, But Memory Care Area Felt Crowded"
When I first stepped into this building, I was really impressed. Their entrance was really nice and I liked how everything was laid out. There were many cool features and it was super clean all around. However, it felt to me like they focused more on being a great place for people needing everyday support, less for those with memory issues. The everyday support was excellent, but the memory care section felt very packed and a bit like a nursing home. My mom wouldn't have been comfortable with that.

"A Warm and Caring Community"
Our first impression of Brightview was that it was a small, caring, and welcoming community. Now that my parents live there, we see this every day. We connected with Brightview years ago when my parents put down a deposit in case they decided to move. Brightview sent us monthly newsletters and invited us to fitness classes and musical performances, which we attended often. When my parents moved to Brightview, the staff worked hard to make the move smooth. The staff knows residents by name and communicates with families by phone and email quickly when we have questions. The meals are tasty and balanced, and the whole place is spotless. Moving to assisted living is a big change for both new residents and their families. Brightview has always gone the extra mile to make this step positive for all of us.

"A Tour"
The place was tidy when I visited. The staff I met were friendly. They provide free rides and allow pets. I liked it, but it cost a bit more than our pick.

"Disappointed Family Condemns Senior Home's Management & Billing Practices"
My folks lived here for over three years. Things started out great, but took a turn, especially in the last year, because of the management. All the sweet, helpful staff were let go one by one, which made things tough on the remaining staff, residents, and their families. Entertainment, parties, and food services went downhill too. To top it all, they billed us for six weeks of care for my dad even after he passed away, despite us clearing out his room in a week and giving the standard 30 days notice to move my surviving parent out. We did get a refund, but it wasn't by mistake - they meant to do it. I used to say good things about BrightView, but I can't suggest this senior home with its current management.

"BrightView's management turns light into darkness"
My folks stayed at this place for over 3 years. It started off nicely, but the last year was a mess because of the management. The kind and caring staff were let go, one by one. This affected the spirits of the other workers, the residents, and their families. It also messed up the entertainment, the parties, and even the food. The worst thing was getting charged for 6 weeks after my dad died, even though we cleaned out his room within a week and gave the 30 days notice to move my surviving parent. They gave the money back, but this was not an accident - they did it on purpose. I used to suggest BrightView to friends, but not anymore, not with this management.

"A Horrifying Experience at Brightview's Alzheimer unit"
In 2015, my father-in-law moved into the Brightview Mt. Laurel's Wellspring unit, a place meant to care for those with Alzheimer’s. Our family is very disappointed by the poor care he received there. The place isn't clean and it's alarming how they dealt with health issues. They didn't let us see him for more than three weeks because scabies and other unknown health issues were spreading. This lack of control over his care has been totally unacceptable. In October 2015, we decided to move him out. I strongly suggest considering other options for your family member in need.

"Focused Solely on Assisted Living Needs"
This place is all about giving help where it’s needed. It’s good for folks who need a bit of extra care with their day-to-day stuff. They don’t have fancy extras, but they’re solid when it comes to the important things.

"Incredible change after a tough start"
Mom didn’t want to move and was really unhappy when we moved her during a party. But within 24 hours, she changed completely, and we’re all very happy with her progress. We’re sleeping much better now.

"Not Satisfied: Large, impersonal facility with insufficient staff presence."
During our tour, I wasn't impressed. The place was too big and lacked the cozy vibe we wanted. Mom's difficulty moving around would've eaten up most of her day here. Also, I noticed there weren't enough staff around as I'd hoped.

"Mom is Happy and Settled Here"
Everything is going well for Mom here, and she seems happy. We first just needed temporary care, but it’s worked out so well that it might be a permanent place for her. The staff are friendly and seem to know what they're doing. The community is really nice, bright, and cheerful, and it has patios where you can walk outside.

"Nice place, but we chose Brightview Greentree for Mom's care."
This place was really nice. I know someone who works here, so I got to take a look around. The buildings were in good shape, but we ended up picking Brightview Greentree because it's newer and seemed better for my mom.

"Late Visit Skews Nurse’s Assessment of Mom"
The nurse came to see my mom too late in the day, so she was already sleeping. Because of that, the nurse just used the old notes about my mom to decide how she was doing, which didn’t seem quite fair.
