"Mixed Feelings About Reliance on Independent Caregivers"
Some folks told me that a lot of people at this place hire their own caretakers. I didn't think that was good, so we didn't really consider it.

"Comfortable Living with Simple Amenities and Caring Staff"
The food is tasty and straightforward. Daily activities are offered, but not very exciting. They host cocktail hours and movie outings. Staff is friendly and attentive. They genuinely care for residents. My sister enjoys her nice apartment. The community is clean, bright, and well-kept. Medication assistance is available. I recommend this community but suggest checking activities first.

"Family Proximity, Budget-Friendly Studio, Minimal Care, Satisfied Resident"
I chose this place after looking around. My studio fits my budget. I'm near my family now. The staff don't give care since I don't need it.

"Mixed Experience at Brightview, Senior Mom Injured from Falls"
My parents spent a month at Brightview assisted living facility. My mom stayed in the dementia care unit, named Wellspring Village, while my dad was in the assisted living part. Both areas were tidy, well taken care of, and had many daily activities. The food was decent, but still didn't compare to homemade meals. My mom requires a walker but often forgets to use it because of her dementia. She had quite a few falls in her first few weeks, mostly in her room. Her last fall led to a broken hip and having surgery to replace part of her hip. This type of injury is really bad for seniors. We're now looking for different places that provide a nurse to help stop my mom from falling so much.

"Fantastic care and attentive staff!"
Everyone at this facility is wonderful. The nurses, aides, directors, managers, activity coordinators, and receptionists are all so kind and attentive. My parents have been here just over a week, and my family has already met with the staff to make sure we’re happy. We had a few concerns, and by the next morning, they were already being addressed. The staff truly puts the residents first.

"Mixed Feelings About Brightview Tenafly Assisted Living"
Brightview Tenafly is a nice place to live. The people who work there are really nice to my mom, and she's happy being there. There are a couple of things that bother me, though. First, the food isn't as good as they say it will be. They make it sound great, but it's not. Also, my mom has diabetes, but they don't really control what she eats.

"A Welcoming Environment!"
The Brightview Tenafly is a pretty community. The staff is super friendly to her, and she’s having a good experience so far. My only complaints are about the food. They always make it sound like it’ll be great, but it’s not. Also, my mom is diabetic, and they don’t limit her.

"Wonderful place with caring staff and great activities!"
The place is great! My sister loves it. The staff sent me two pictures of her dancing the other day. I get updates all the time; someone from the memory care unit calls me and keeps me informed about her. I would highly recommend this place. It feels very welcoming. They decorate it nicely and keep everything bright. I just wish they had a website with all the activities happening that day. The place is very clean. My sister-in-law visited recently and told me my sister's bedroom is lovely, the bedspread is nice, and her bathroom is very clean. The meals are good most of the time, and I like that the kitchen is open all the time so residents can eat or grab a snack whenever they're hungry. The activities director plans many activities for the residents. They thought giving speech therapy to my sister would help her thinking skills, and I appreciate them being proactive.

"Lovely Environment but Location and Medicare Pose Challenges"
I visited this place while searching for options. It seemed nice, and I was fond of it. However, its location posed difficulties for us. Moreover, they can't accept Medicare until they've been licensed for 2 years. It's a pleasant place, but it doesn't suit our needs.
