"Mixed Feelings: Assisted Living Facility Review"
We chose this place because it was the only option for my loved one. They really need to get better at communicating. The place did what we needed, but they could do better explaining what they can do versus what they actually do. To me, it felt like they were just holding my loved one, and they didn't make any progress partly because of their mistakes and not talking properly.

"Friendly Staff, Room for Improvement"
Overall, I'm pleased with them. The two concierges are super friendly and always ready to help. The welcome we got wasn't what we expected—it fell flat. They don't offer transportation for outings outside the community, which I think should be better. The staff does a great job communicating with us—especially the manager, nurse, and concierges. They serve three meals a day with choices for residents. There's on-site Physical Therapy available, which has been really helpful for my loved one. The community is currently renovating, but parking is a bit of a hassle for visitors right now.

"Clean, friendly, and recommended for loved one's care involvement."
My loved one lives in this assisted living facility, and it's important to stay involved in their care. The place is always tidy and the staff are nice and ready to help. The food is good too. Overall, based on my experience, I would tell others to consider this community.

"CareOne: Good Food, High Cost, Poor Service and Maintenance"
I wouldn't pick CareOne again if I had a different option. We faced big problems with their medicine department and billing. They kept sending me bills from their pharmacy, even though we never used it. I tried to talk to the boss many times. They said they'd fix it, but they never did. My husband couldn't look after himself then, and they didn't give him enough care. The staff is really friendly until you sign up. There weren't enough trained nurses. I do want to say that the helpers did have to use a machine to move my husband, which I know was hard for them. But they didn't tell me soon enough that they should have called in end-of-life care. The food was tasty, we didn't have any issues there. But it was really pricey. The outside area wasn't looked after well either.

"Poor patient care and high prices at assisted living facility."
Treatment of my grandma at this assisted living facility was awful - I can't recommend it. They simply didn't take proper care of the poor residents that relied on them. My grandmother ended up with multiple bedsores and infections, and that's on top of the many falls she had in their so-called care! The level of care provided should be much higher, especially considering how much we're paying!

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Care and Management"
This place didn't assess my loved one properly before admitting her. Even when they realized they couldn't give her the care she needed, they tried to keep her there. Eventually, they moved her to long-term care, and then to hospice, where she passed away. During her short stay at the assisted living facility, she fell three times. Despite the fancy appearance of the place, it was poorly managed and under-resourced. They also kept half of the $18k we paid.

"Dangerous Neglect at Assisted Living Facility"
I can't recommend this assisted living facility. I was only there for a short while after my back surgery, mostly for physical therapy, which was actually pretty good. But then I ended up in ICU, and if it wasn't for my daughter, I might not have made it. They didn't bother to clean my surgical wound for the first four days, and I got an infection. The nurse gave me too many meds, and I had to choose between taking a shower or having my compression stockings put on. I wound up in the hospital again with blood clots in both legs, kidney failure, and the infection. The hospital called this place "No Care" because they get so many patients from there. And on top of everything else, despite me telling them three times, they still didn't understand that the cream was for the dry skin on my feet and not for other places. My advice is to avoid this place at all costs.

"Steer Clear: Neglect and Mismanagement at Rehabilitation Facility"
This place shouldn't be talked about unless you've spent a few hours there like I did. I was there for rehabilitation after a back operation and had physical therapy, which went well. Unfortunately, I landed in ICU, and if it wasn't for my daughter, I wouldn't be here right now. They didn't even clean my surgical wound for four days, and I ended up with an infection. A nurse there gave me too much medication. It came down to a choice between taking a shower or getting my compression stockings. Finally, hospitalization was necessary due to blood clots in both my legs, kidney failure, and infection. I spent six days in ICU and a total of 25 days in the hospital. A nurse there told me they call this place "No Care". They get tons of their patients from there. I should also mention that I had dry skin on my feet. On three different occasions, I had to remind the nurse that the cream was for my feet, not other sensitive areas. My advice is to stay clear of this place. It has nothing positive to offer.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Experience"
My grandma stayed at an assisted living place. The nurses were awesome, but the techs? Not so much. I hung out with her every day for a long time. Those nurses sure did a lot for the little they got paid. The techs too. She was at a place in Marlton. I remember one nurse was super good. One tech was kinda bossy but still did a solid job, and another was just top-notch, always doing his best for her. The big issue was when my grandma had another stroke. She was out of it, and even though they could’ve taken care of her, they didn’t want to because Medicare wasn’t covering enough. They tried to send her home when she couldn’t even walk, talk, or let us know what she needed. How were we supposed to take care of her then? We were there a lot, which helped with some other problems that could’ve been worse. Then, when the first place pretty much kicked her out, we found this other spot, MEDFORD CONVALESANT on Stokes Road. They were amazing and really looked after her until the end. After she left the first place, she only had two weeks left, but they made sure those weeks were good for her.

"Superior Care at Medford Convalescent Overrides Mediocre Experience at Care One"
My grandma was in this facility. The care was okay, the nurses were impressive. However, the technicians were a bit inconsistent. I visited her daily, spending hours by her side. The nursing staff was overworked relative to their pay, as were the technicians. She was in their Marlton branch. Nurse was really good. Technician was a bit too assertive with but did well, while was exceptional and always tried his best to care for her. The issue is, after she had another stroke and became less responsive, they should have continued her care. However, when her Medicare stopped covering enough of the costs, they suggested sending her home, although she was unable to walk, talk or communicate. We, her family, wondered how we could possibly provide the care she required at that point! We also had some other smaller issues as well, but thankfully we were there frequently to monitor everything. When they essentially kicked her out, we found another place on Stokes Road, MEDFORD CONVALESCENT, which was excellent. She was there for her final two weeks, which were good ones for her, despite Care One's inadequate treatment.

"Medication and food issues; reconsidering due to startup fee paid."
The place isn't my favorite. Sometimes they're late with the meds. And my family member doesn't like the food either. If we hadn't already paid the $4000 startup fee, we'd be thinking about leaving.

"Friendly Staff, Mixed Meals, Outstanding Marketing Director"
The staff at CareOne is doing a good job, and my mom's apartment is nice. But I'm not happy with the aides. They don't stick to schedules, and I've told the director that my mom isn't getting showers. It seems like no one is enforcing it. I've talked to someone, and I think it's being addressed now. The meals don't taste great—they don't use salt. On the bright side, the marketing director, [Removed], is fantastic. He knows all the residents' names and always asks about my mom.

"Nice staff and apartment, but meal and aide issues"
The staff at CareOne are doing a nice job, and my mother's apartment is nice. However, I haven't been happy with the aides. They don't keep the schedules, and I've told the director she's not getting showers. It doesn't seem like anyone is reinforcing this. I spoke to someone, and I think it's happening now. The meals don't taste great because they don't cook with salt. The marketing director is the best; he knows all the residents' names and always asks about my mother when he sees me.

"Wonderful Care and Safe Environment for My Uncle"
My uncle is being taken care of really well at this place. The staff is nice, and they look after him and his needs. There are fun activities for the residents. The meals are good, and he likes the food. I know he is safe and in good hands here. So far, everything is going pretty well for us here.
