"Caring Assisted Living with Daily Activities and Responsive Service"
My mom lives in the assisted living area. The staff is kind, encouraging, and caring. They plan activities every day and make sure everyone joins in. We visit daily to check everything's okay. Her little apartment is cute, and they fix any problems fast. It's nice walking down the hall with Mom and hearing the staff call her by name. We're happy with how well she's taken care of here.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
This place was really nice. I trusted them to take good care of my dad. But it was pricey and didn't match what my mom needed for her memory issues.

"A Tour of Friendly, Well-Kept Community"
The people we met at this place were nice. The place looked well-maintained. It was a bit pricier than the one we picked.

"Friendly Manager, Cozy Environment, Pet Policy a Downer"
I really liked the manager here. When we toured, I saw him talking to every resident by their first name. He seemed to know them well. The place felt comfortable and the apartments were all pretty nice. But, my mom wouldn't be allowed to bring her dog, and the place was a bit too small for what she wants.

"Lovely tour, but a tad pricey"
I really enjoyed visiting this community. The person who showed me around was friendly. Everything looked neat and tidy. They have really pretty gardens outside, and I was happy to hear they accept pets. However, it was a bit more expensive than we were hoping for.

VERY Unsatisifed Client!
"Insufficient Staffing and Lack of Care at Care One!"
My dad was at Care One for rehab for a few months. The biggest issue was their UNDERSTAFFING and, because of it, NEGLECT! Though their staff are generally nice, they're swamped with work. They can't provide quick and proper care to every patient. Multiple times when my dad needed a change after pressing the call button, he had to wait for a whole hour. And that happened even when I was there looking for help in the corridors. Raising concerns with management is pointless because they just go with whatever you say, promising to make changes but they never follow through. My dad got bruises from being handled too roughly. I would absolutely NOT suggest Care One for rehab, especially if you can't monitor the level of care your loved one is receiving all the time! While the physical therapy staff was good, they'd often have to wait for my dad to be helped out of bed so they could work with him which he'd sometimes miss because there simply wasn't enough time or people to get him ready. So disappointing. I have no doubt that if I wasn't there every day, my dad wouldn't have made it.

"Great Experience at Care One Moorestown"
Our aunt moved to Care One Moorestown after a tough time at another place in Mt. Laurel, NJ. She's almost 96, uses a wheelchair, and has moderate dementia. At the last place, she was alone in her room all day. Because of her dementia and personality, she didn't join activities or go to the dining room for meals. After a short hospital stay, the old place wanted us to pay for a 24/7 aide, making her care super expensive, so we decided to move her. We checked out many assisted living places in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester Counties online. We picked Care One at Moorestown for our aunt. Now, she's doing great in the Enhanced Assisted Living Unit at Care One. She has a great bond with one of her main caregivers and seems to get along well with all the staff. She goes to the main dining room for all meals and is almost always out of her room, either at an activity, with a group in the lounge, or sitting in the lobby "living room" reading the newspaper. Her whole mood has improved, she's much more engaged, and we see parts of her old personality when we visit. She seems less depressed and more active. The place is clean, warm, and welcoming. Because it's small, the staff gets to know new residents and works with them based on their personality and preferences, helping them interact and socialize at their comfort level. Everyone is spoken to respectfully and patiently. We've never seen any harshness or complaining from the staff. Each resident is encouraged to be as independent as possible, and help is given as needed. Residents seem active, stimulated, and involved. Also, we haven't noticed any of our aunt's belongings missing, which was a problem at the last place she lived. One memorable example of the staff's helpfulness happened on the day our aunt moved to Care One. One of the healthcare staff saw us moving furniture and totes from a truck outside, got on his phone, and called for help. He and a coworker helped us move in her stuff quickly. One even attached the mirror to the bureau and hooked up the TV. One complaint is that the outdoor smoking area for residents is very close to the front entrance. This means that when visiting, you sometimes have to walk through cigarette smoke. It's not a deal breaker, but it's unpleasant, especially for non-smokers. It would be nice if this area could be moved further from the main entrance. We would definitely recommend Care One at Moorestown.

"Sneaky Practices and Neglect at Care Facility"
The therapists were nice, helpful, and willing to work together. However, the nurses seemed to always be rushing because they were responsible for too many patients. Even basic things like bagging up dirty clothes or taking some time to chat with my mother-in-law before starting their work seemed too much for them. One night, they wanted my mother-in-law to have a cat scan and they actually gave her bed away because she had to stay in the hospital for at least a full day. That was downright sneaky! Neither the social worker nor the nursing assistant would return our calls. There's some fishy stuff going on here. They may seem nice to your face, but when it comes down to it, they're quick to get rid of you.

"Shift in Care Reveals Underwhelming Assisted Living Facility"
The rehabilitation area seemed staffed effectively, caregivers showing genuine concern for those living there. A shift in my mom's doctor's care plan initiated a change, moving her to the assisted living section. This is where things took a turn for the worse. The new unit was filled with unresponsive residents and similarly unmotivated staff. Despite desperate attempts for better staff, it wasn't until stern action did we see a slight improvement. However, it never matched the care and attention in the rehab facility. Luckily, my mother could continue rehab and finally return home, a relief and a blessing.

"Mixed Feelings about Moorestown Memory Care"
I went to this place last year. The people working there are really nice. They have these lovely areas for folks with memory issues. But, it feels a bit like a hospital. I didn't see enough caregivers compared to how many people live there. It's not terrible, but it's not my top pick right now.

"Consider Elsewhere: Dismissive Care Home Falls Woefully Short"
I couldn't in good conscience recommend this place to my worst enemy, let alone a pet! You know that old saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover?" Yeah, this is one of those times where you shouldn't be misled by the glossy exterior. This place may seem nice and promising, but it seriously fails to deliver on its promises. We toured the facility and were drawn in by its picturesque location and promises that they could handle patients needing a lot of assistance - especially after a stroke. Once inside, however, the place turns out to be a true nightmare. There's an alarming disregard for patient dignity. Having transferred from Marlton Rehab where top-notch rehabilitation services were provided and mom was treated with respect, this was a shock. Previously, whenever mom needed to use the restroom or change positions in bed, help was always at hand. Suddenly, at Care One, mom was expected to stay put in bed for almost half a day and retire to a wheelchair for the rest of the time - absurd! Health doesn't thrive in such conditions. Moreover, showers were replaced with bed baths and the regular toilet with a bedpan. This was a real step backward as she was capable of all these tasks post her stroke. Notably, the problem wasn't her capability, but the incompetence of her new caregivers. Her room was ridiculously small, no bigger than a closet and not enough space even for an extra chair. Not to mention, physical and occupational therapy both occurred in one lengthy, tiring session. In between sessions, mom spent hours waiting, never knowing when the next therapy would be. Staff members continually fell short, some being discourteously brutal with mom and the family. We attempted to move mom from this place after day one, but unfortunately, it took two arduous weeks to secure another placement. Despite several discussions with management, the facility remained a disaster. More recent hearsay tells me nothing has changed since 2011. I sincerely urge you not to consider this place!

"Didn't Smell Great"
I knew an older lady who lived there. It looked really nice, but the smell bothered me. I'm sensitive to smells, so I wasn't a fan. Still, everyone was friendly.
