Our family went on a tour of Lakeside Residential Care Home. The tour was okay, but it didn't seem like the perfect fit for our loved one.

"Run-down assisted living home with poor facilities and unsanitary conditions."
So bummed out. This old, stuffy assisted living home was totally crowded with residents. The place was practically falling apart. I'm talking about stairs that seemed like they were going to crumble any second, not to mention the porch, and no ramp! For an assisted living facility, that's ridiculous. I only spotted one poor nurse when I visited. They said the place was under construction, but it looked like nothing was happening. There was a wrap-around porch, but it was full of used mattresses and wheelchairs. I couldn’t believe it. The kitchen? It was in the basement! Totally gross it was damp, smelly and the pots and pans were ancient.

"Impressive Improvements Under New Management"
Since the new owners took over, you can see changes right away. They've done a lot of work on the building in the last few months. They put on a new roof, installed new bathrooms, and did some painting and landscaping. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's in a nice spot by the lake and close to Route 23 and Route 15. There's still more to be done, but they’re off to a great start in my opinion.

"Loving staff, great care, homey atmosphere, highly recommended."
My aunt lived at Lakeside Care Home on and off for 10 years. The owners, Jessie and Miriam, are really nice people. The staff is very kind. She was happy and well cared for. We miss the homey feel of Lakeside, but she needed more care than they could give, so we had to move her. As long as Jessie and Miriam are there, I think Lakeside is a very loving place for your family member.

My aunt lived at Lakeside Care Home on and off for 10 years. The owners are incredibly kind. The staff was very nice, and she was happy and well cared for. We miss the cozy feeling at Lakeside, but she needed more care than they could offer, so we had to move. As long as the owners are there, Lakeside is a loving place for your family member.

"Great care for my mom over 5 years; highly recommend!"
My mom lived here for about 5 years, and I was really happy with how they took care of her. The staff was friendly and always paid attention to what she needed, making sure she was comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place.

"Dirt-cheap Assisted Living Facility; Dirty, Smelly and Unlivable!"
This place really stunk and was filthy. If my life depended on it, I couldn't dream of letting my mom stay there! The people there just idled about. They only had one room that came with its own bathroom. Shockingly, there was no elevator, and a bunch of rooms were upstairs. I saw dried poop in a bathroom on the first floor. On the bright side, it was super cheap!

"Absolutely Not! Cheap but Disgusting Facility"
This place stunk and was filthy. There's absolutely no chance I would let my mom stay here! The residents were basically lounging around aimlessly. They had a single room equipped with a private bathroom. No elevators were available, but many rooms were situated upstairs. I noticed dried feces in the ground-level bathroom. However, it was extremely cheap!
