"Mixed Experience at Lions Gate Assisted Living"
We moved our elderly parents to Lions Gate in February 2019. Their apartment, renovated before moving in, is beautiful. Grounds and dining room are nice too. However, in independent living, there's no real oversight. Families must handle all care. Exploring assisted living now, unsure of availability. Hard for them to make friends due to long-time residents. Costly with unclear monthly expenses aside from dinner. Suggest preparing questions before committing.

"Assisted Living Tour Impressed Us"
This place is really nice and the staff were great during our tour. They took their time showing us around and answering all our questions. There are lots of things for residents to enjoy here, and I think it's worth scheduling a tour.

"Poor Care and Overpriced at Safe Haven Assisted Living"
My relative stayed at Safe Haven and I was really upset with the employees and what they did for fun. The workers don't really understand Alzheimer's or Dementia, so the whole place isn't set up right for the people who live there. Lions Gate only hires LPNs for this special unit, not RNs or BSNs. I think they do this to save money for themselves. They've had a bunch of directors for activities and each time the residents seem to do fewer things. I wouldn't tell anyone to choose this place because I think they could get better care for the crazy high prices they charge here.

"Dissatisfaction with Care and Costs at Safe Haven"
My relative stayed at Safe Haven and I was really disheartened by the quality of care they received. The employees didn't seem exceptionally knowledgeable about Alzheimer's/Dementia care, making the area ill-suited for the needs of the people living there. Lions Gate only employs a LPN in this specialized unit, not a RN/BSN (in my view, they're likely trying to save money). They've had numerous activity directors who seem to interact less and less with the residents. I wouldn't recommend this place given that superior care could be given considering the steep charges.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility, But Positive Overall"
I like the place. Mom's adjusting. The staff's caring, and the food is okay.

"Comfortable Community for Mom; Food Could Improve, Jewish Population Appreciated"
I really like the place where my mom is staying now. She's having a little trouble getting used to it, but the staff are working hard to help her feel comfortable. They're really nice and always pay attention to her needs. The food could be better, but it's not bad at all. We're also happy that there are a lot of Jewish people here, which is making it easier for Mom to feel at home.
