"Family Impressed by Magnolia Gardens Despite Cost and Distance"
We visited Magnolia Gardens for a tour. The studio apartment was smaller than the other, and the room my sister would get was too far from the dining room. However, Magnolia's dining hall, Theater Room, and overall look were nicer than the other. Magnolia asked for twice the guaranteed money compared to SO.

"Not Very Clean, Limited Activities, Unpleasant Atmosphere"
We visited Magnolia Gardens while looking for a place for our family member. It wasn't very clean compared to other places we saw. They didn't have many activities to choose from. The atmosphere was not great, with residents just hanging out in the halls and sometimes being loud.

"Good Care, Communication, Room Concerns at Magnolia Gardens"
At Magnolia Gardens, the staff was nice and friendly. They kept in touch with our family through phone calls and emails, which was good. Mom was in hospice for two years and on Medicaid since June. They made sure she had a private room. However, when hospice was around, it seemed like the management staff didn’t work as quickly. Mom had specific dietary needs, so we can’t say much about the food.

"Assisted Living Facility: Clean, Cozy, Limited Sunlight, Room Sharing Likely"
The place is pretty nice and tidy, though it's a bit dim with not too much sunlight. The studio room is okay, but they might have you share a room once you're on Medicaid.

The staff is super nice and helpful. They played music and games on the intercom, but activities were limited. Great value for the care we get!”

"A Decent Assisted Living Facility"
This place is nice. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean. The food is okay, but it could be better. They have activities for the residents, which is good. Overall, it’s a decent place to live.

"Great care and understanding for residents with different needs"
We are very happy with the care and attention from the staff at Magnolia Gardens. They offer many activities for the residents. Since my mother doesn't join in many activities, it wasn't a big deal for us. The staff worked hard to understand my mother and let her live at her own pace.

"Unimpressed Nurse Reviews Lackluster Assisted Living Facility"
Right when we entered, there was a bad smell. The place was gloomy and not lively at all. Most people were just sitting there, doing nothing. The movie room had a musty smell for sure. The rooms were average, but they didn’t show us any that were empty. As a nurse, I don't recommend this place for anyone, let alone someone you care about.

"Medical Approach at Magnolia Gardens"
We're working with Magnolia Gardens on the application process. We appreciate the 'medical approach' with visiting doctors, so Mom won't need to leave.

"Clean, needs updates. Good for families to tour."
We toured this community for my father, but they didn’t offer the care he needed. The place was clean, but it could use some updates. They do have activities for residents. We recommend this community for families to check out for their loved ones.

"Assisted Living Facility Review Summary"
We needed memory care but they didn't offer it. Staff was friendly and answered questions, but it wasn't suitable for my mom due to memory care needs. The community was lively with lots of activities, but we couldn't judge the food. Families should check if it meets their loved ones' care needs.

"Aunt's Happy in New Home"
My aunt needed time to feel at home here, but now she's doing well. She's getting used to living here and seems pretty happy. She says the food is good and the meals are nice. I feel good about the care she's getting. They're taking good care of her, and I would tell others to consider this place.

"Bright and Cheery Facility Wins Over Darker, Older One"
The inside looked old. They had activities we saw. I didn't like their shared rooms; they were tiny and shared one bathroom. I thought it was dark inside, but it was my choice. Then we found somewhere bright and cheery, so we chose that one.
