"Poor Communication and COVID Outbreak Lead to Tragic Consequences"
My mom stayed there for three months. She fell twice, and nobody told me even though I asked about her bruises. The main person in charge introduced COVID-19, and it spread to 14 residents, causing the death of four, including my mom. When I visited, this person wasn't even wearing a mask after coming back from quarantine. One good thing was that I could wear full protective gear and be with my mom when she passed away, just one week after getting the virus.

"Lacking Care, Safety, and Organization: Merion Gardens Disappoints"
Our family member moved in last October, and shortly after, an administrator brought in the virus. Sadly, our loved one caught it and passed away within a week. We didn't see enough mask-wearing, and safety rules could've been followed better. Our loved one didn't get the care she needed: her medicine wasn't given properly, her hearing aids weren't charged, and she didn't receive her compression socks. Some of her clothes and belongings went missing too. One good thing was that they allowed us to visit her, all suited up, in the last three days. Overall, we don't recommend Merion Gardens.

"Caregivers Mixed, Rooms Small, Active Community Encouraged"
The caregivers here are a mixed bag. Some are great, but others are not so good. We think they should work on getting rid of the bad ones. The rooms were what we expected, though a bit small, but they had everything needed. It looks like they encourage residents to be active and not just stay in their rooms.

"A Great Fit Near Home"
We picked Marion Gardens 'cause it's near our house. When we visited, we got a good feeling. It seemed roomy, quiet, and clean. It made our loved one feel independent again, which we love.
