I'd say the staff is nice, and I'd suggest this smaller community. Unfortunately, my loved one isn't a fan of the food. They offer bingo and other activities too.

"Rooms Too Small for Independent Living"
The place is very safe and secure. The rooms are around the edges with a courtyard in the middle. They allow pets. However, I found the rooms to be too small for my Mom, who’s used to living independently in a row home.

"Happy with Mom's Care and Environment"
Mom is doing well at this community. The caregivers are kind, and all the staff are helpful. The place is clean, and the grounds are nice. I did notice that they could improve a bit on cleaning the apartments. They are consistent with where residents eat their meals. This is a smaller community, which is great because it’s close to family. I would recommend this community.

"Everything is Fine and Safe"
Everything has worked out great since my mom moved here. I'm happy with everything they've done for my family. She's safe and in good hands. The staff are helpful, and everything is going well for us.

"Great care in a sunny, welcoming community!"
My dad is still getting used to living at Somers Place. The staff are caring, helpful, and amazing. He seems to enjoy the food. They have daily activities, but he isn't ready to join in yet. The community is clean and well-maintained. It's a small place that’s easy to navigate. The rooms look out onto a park, so the residents can enjoy the view. There’s plenty of sunshine, and I would definitely recommend it!

"Clean and welcoming facility; opted for better fit elsewhere."
8th Grade Level: I visited Sommers Place. It was neat and tidy, and everyone I met was friendly. My aunt and I decided to go with another place that suited her needs more.

"Mixed Feelings about Somers Place Assisted Living"
Rooms are spacious, which is nice. Didn’t enjoy walking directly into shared spaces. Courtyard is a plus.

"Great Place with Wonderful Staff"
Mom's been at Somers Place for a month, and she’s really gotten comfortable right from the start. The staff is great, and they all know her by name. I just wish we had moved her here sooner instead of having a live-in caregiver at home.

"Somers Place is perfect for my sister with dementia."
Somers Place has been amazing for my sister with dementia. She's only 58 and always on the move. They let her be active instead of using medication, which could make her fall. She enjoys helping out by pushing other residents in wheelchairs, sweeping, and serving food. Somers Place is truly the best place for her, and I'm so thankful to A Place For Mom for helping us find it.

"Amazing place with caring staff and great support!"
Somers Place is a fantastic place. The staff has been really great. My mom has said the food isn't the best, but I think it might just be her. I highly recommend this place because they really help my mom when she needs it. She especially likes the nurse, Janet. Overall, it’s a really wonderful place!

"Really Friendly and Clean, But Needs More Activities"
The people working here are always there for you, really welcoming. They keep the place real clean which I appreciate. Plus, the food is really tasty. But I sort of wish there were more things to do and maybe some additional staff.
